Well, the first computer I had was a 186, but it didn't really work. It wouldn't boot. The one after that was a 386, which worked liked a treat. I wasn't into computers at that time, so I wouldn't know what was inside that one. I know it had a turbo button. That would get your CPU from 16 MHz to 66 MHz or something like that :p After that, I bought my P3 (In 2000, yep, that 386 lasted for a couple of years :D). It was my first real love! It had a 866 MHz CPU, 128 MB of RD-Ram, a TNT 2 (32 MB) and a 20 GB HD. I did a whole lot of upgrading on that, but I never bought a new CPU or something like that. Check my sig for the current specs. It works like a treat, but it reboots sometimes, during startup.

My first love by far was my Tandy Color Computer. It did everything I needed to do, and that was back in the 80's platform wars. I did alot of mods to it too, including adding a monochrome video card so I could use a monitor instead of a TV. BTW, I still have it and it works. Lost the Floppy controller card though. I used that to type up papers in college through 1992 when PC's finally came down to a price I could afford.

Secondly I bought a new AST 486sx33 in Dec 1994 from Radio Shack for $1400! Didn't even have a sound card or cd-rom. 270mb hard drive,4mb ram and windows 3.1. I had a sound card at home and a few weeks later I bought a **Brand new just on the market** 4x cdrom for only a mere $180.

BTW I still have that PC rotting in the shed. The cdrom and hard drive have died but I plan on restoring it someday for the fun of it.

My first computer was a Pentium II 233mhz, 3DFX Sound, Trident Video, Tomatoboard mobo, 64mb SDRAM, 6gb HDD, Windows 95. Got it in 1998. I still use the keyboard, floppy, and screen that came with it.

I also had a handmedown Apple Macintosh LCIII but I didn't use it much.

8mb 16 bit video card intergrated (didnt play almost anything except the original doom and it was lagging lol).

    Ahh...

    My first computer...

    486 DX2 66mhz

8mb ram (what an upgrade from the 4 it came with)

1.2 gb seagate hard drive (still have it, not using it, works great)

Jaton video 58p video card (remember using those special OAK tech vesa doctor drivers?)

Sound Blaster Pro compatible sound card

    4x cd rom drive

I loved that computer. I hated when Duke Nukem 3d (bought for bout 60 sometging bucks at the time) lagged so much on it though. Doom 2 ran smooth as butter :p

  15. first pc was a ibm win3.1 pc my dad bought for me and my sis. good pc for it's time but god was i so disappointed with it. not at all what i thought computers would be like... and the internet connection was ssssssllllllllooooowwwwwwwwwww. i think it was a 14.4k modem.

first enthusiast pc i had was a k6-2 350 with a voodoo banshee card. those were good times. had so much fun on that pc. one day it didn't start up. didn't know wether it was because of a tweak i did or because something in the pc just died but after days of trying to get it back up and running and realizing it was fubared for good i nearly cried. :( such a sad moment. was a long time after that until i could afford to once again get into pc enthusiast hobby.
