its weird but i dont remember the name of the company that made my ram. I got it from a retail store and i recall the company name has some asian origin but i cant recall it. i loaded Sandra and it recognized it as a PC3200U with 3-3-3-8 timings made back in Dec 25 1999 but it dosnt give any hint to what the name is. is there any way i can find out?

CPU-Z might help you. If you download it the SPD tab should tell you what the maker of your ram is.

cpu-z was a no go with identifying the manufacturer...all it said is 127f0000000000...but it did point out something interesting about my ram. it said Channels # Single...does that mean my dual channel isnt on?

SPD Timings table should let you know if your ram is running dual channel.200mhz should be dual channel.

    ha - not likely.

many ram manufacturers in the value segment don't put much on the ram at all...

no...i remember it had an asian sounding name to it...im gonna try to take a peek on the ram its self see if im lucky
    lmao

edit: no luck...ohwell no biggie...i guess i wont have a name for my ram manufacturer in my new sig. but i did get the chance to clean the inside of my tower ^_^...having 5 fans blow air in and 2 blow air out in the chassies alone can cause alot of dust buildup. lol

no...it started with a C or a K...ohwell i completely forgot it. its been 2 years since i last heard the name. if anyone asks ill just say its corsair ^_^. considering the age, speed, mb, and timings it might as well be. but if anyone has any method of how you can find something like this out then they deserve a huge round of applause. lol

edit: hmm...i think it might have been kinwei...
