    my performance leaps and drops are usually different then those of the average users...for some weird reason....

    Thus...i wanted to add...that these drivers are'nt as fast as the 77.13 in benches....

    77.13 2nd ran usually does the job...
    Aquamark 77120

    77.30 4th run achieved the highest
    Aquamark 76100

    Doom lost 1FPS noting more...
    Im sure its not easy to tell the difference while gaming...but inturms of benches the 77.13 are the king...

    I got this black out while using the 77.13
    my screen went blank and my system hung...and the second time it happend my screen went blank and then i got this message that my display driver had failed...and that i needed to restore my system...which is extreamly odd...its never happend to me before...ever...
    no wonder they''re called Betas..

    My temps seem to be at an all time high with both the drivers..
    61C with 0 load...thats about 6C higher then my normal off load temps...which is kinda alot...but its worth the performance if you'd ask me..besides the darn drivers giving a black out...

    then if it is from the 71xx (or 72xx) someone test it on HL2 or CS:S for buggy water and tiles (71.20 to 71.80, i think have the bug)

    I think they are based in 77.13 because they have the same new bug in profiles that causes a setting to be copied to global when it's applied in a specific profile.

    But for my own experience and for what I've read in this thread, these drivers are worst than 77.13 at performance as well as being very unstable.

    I recommend 76.45 for Doom3 and 77.13 for everything else.

    I mean the actual driver code... I think it is based on the 71/72 code...

    maybe the CPL and profile stuff is updated but the core code is what I am talking about...

    I am almost sure on this... it is how the driver handles FSAA and frame buffering and directdraw... it is weird... I have tried every single driver for 6800 series cards... the 66/67 drivers handle it a certain way... and the 70 drivers a certain way... the 71/72 drivers another way... the 75/76 drivers yet another way...

    the 77.13 behaved more like the 66/67 drivers just way faster and more bugfixes...

    I can't seem to play any movies with these drivers installed. When I do, I get this error:

    Faulting application wmplayer.exe, version 10.0.0.3646, faulting module quartz.dll, version 6.5.2600.2180, fault address 0x0004c101.

    Same error in a few other vid players.

    Using Directx 9.0c, XPSP2. When I uninstall these drivers and reinstall the older set I was using (71.89), playing videos works fine again.

    The downside is I can't play BF2 without the boxy shadows :( This sucks.

    It seems that 77.13 is best at the mo but don't forget, some of us BF2 fans who have to have 77.30 sadly. I was surprised to see EA supports unoffical drivers! I thought 77.30 was an offical drivers from Nvidia.

    Nvidia always gives all new releases to all Game-Dev's.
    If the BF2-dev's think that the 77.30 is best for the game, then so be it.

    Yep, same here. I don't get an error message but I get no video - only sound.

    I just did a full reinstall and when I tried using the 77.30 drivers it made all my desktop go horrible like it was in 8bit instead if 32bit.
    Reformated and installed the 71.89 drivers and all was fine until in BF2 and horrible shadow errors and currupted light maps.
    This time I uninstalled the 71.89 drivers but with no drive cleaner and followed on with installing the 77.30 drivers and all is fine.
    I can only ghess that the 77.30 drivers used something from the old 71.89 to run ok,maybe a reg key.
    Has anyone else had anything like this happen?
    I just hope that by the time the game comes out that they have a properly tested driver on the disc.
    Other than that,a kick ass game,much better than BFV,just pray they bring a patch out to smooth it a tad online.

    For the people who can't see video with these drivers. Do you have the same problem with 77.13?

    just a thought...the xg77.13's are good, but the 77.30 has complete opengl2.0 support. dont know if that makes much of a difference?

    I did a quick CS:S Stress Test with both drivers, 77.13 and 77.30:

    Code:
    V-Sync On
    =============================
    Driver |  73.13   |  73.30
    -------|----------|----------
    Test 1 |73.48 FPS |73.94 FPS
    Test 2 |73.39 FPS |74.13 FPS
    Test 3 |73.39 FPS |73.80 FPS
    -------|----------|----------
    Average|73.42 FPS |73.96 FPS
    =============================

    V-Sync Off
    =============================
    Driver |  73.13   |  73.30
    -------|----------|----------
    Test 1 |102.22 FPS|102.80 FPS
    =============================
    I have a question though. When I did the test with the 77.30 drivers, I had the same programs open as with the 77.13 drivers, but my computer was on about 30 minutes longer before I started the test. With the 77.13 drivers, I directly went to the test after making the same desktop changes. Before I turned off my computer, I did the 77.13 test one more time with the same programs running in the background, and I got a lower score than the 77.30 drivers. I was thinking, maybe if I did the 77.30 driver test as soon as I turned on my computer the same way I did with the 77.13 drivers, I would get a better score? Maybe even better than the 77.13 drivers?

    Yeah it has nothing to do with a codec pack. Works fine in older drivers. Doesnt work in newer drivers. Its obvious that something in the driver is doing it, even if its only for some people.

    Yes, same problem in 77.13s. Going back to the 71.89s for now I guess.

    for those having problems with videos, try disabling vmr from video overlay settings...if u can't see that option use a program called nvtweak and check enable vmr options. that worked for me

    I was using 77.13 before the demo came out and videos were fine. I'm back on 77.13 now and videos are fine again so it's definitely something in the driver (for me at least).

    I'm just sticking with 77.13 and disabled dynamic shadows for now.

    How is the IQ on with this one? I'm still using 67.03 XG, because the IQ is so amazing. Will I gain fps and still have the same IQ?
