I've been looking at this 6600GT from XFX... Link below:

Wondering how it overclocks, or if it isn't all that great could someone post a link to one that overclocks well, and costs the same or perhaps a little more but not by much. Thanks for any help guys!

That one is ok, I'd go with the Gigabyte 6600GT (GV-NX66T128VP)
this one has higher clock settings than the stock GT. I wish I got this one.....=[

i think MSI is the best, it comes witht he best bundle and the best stock cooling for the memory... XFX is defective as hell

I have the Gigabyte card that Dense mentioned, except its the AGP version. Great card, with a massive and passive cooling system, VIVO, and 1.6ns RAM that comes clocked at 1120mhz standard

Well I built a computer with an XFX and the card you had recommended by Gigabyte was just out of my price range. $180 was practically my limit, and I really didn't wanna spend all that much. I never had anything bad happen with the XFX 6600GT in the kids computer I built so I figured i'd just go with it. The cooling seems a bit corny on it though, but it does stay cool.

Anyone who has the XFX 6600GT I linked on the first page please post and lemme know OC results, and how hot it runs. Thanks.

I dont OC my gpu :) It works great as I already said, wich games u wanna play? (he can handle games like doom 3 on ultra high settings)

The XFX 6600GT is build with a new cooler 60 degrees idle and highest temp is around 75 degrees. (so u can OC the gpu without buying a new cooler)

    Check the card out! http://www.xfxforce.com/product_view.php?sku=PVT43AND

No probs with my XFX at all (2nd revision). I know the first one they released had issues but I think they've been corrected with the revised model. Temps 55 idle, 75 load. (40 idle, 70 load in cooler months).

From the umpteen number of posts here on XFX, I get the message that they are full of trouble. Of course I can be wrong and there are a good number of bros here having good successes with them.

I have read that Leadtek and BFG ones are pretty decent as well. Mine is just average, can overclock very well on the core but not the mems.

Although I'm pretty happy with my XFX, if I had to choose all over again I'd probably take the one made by BFG. I remember reading a review on several 6600gt's and this one stood out for best cooling. Plus its OC'd and has a life-time warranty. (but I think it was also more expensive than the others).
