6800le & temperature

How high temperature can a geforce 6800le handle without being damage?
My cards idle temp now is when idle 61-63 C and load temp almost 70 C.
Im asking cause im thinking of increasing the core voltage. Since the cards temp will increase, I dont know if i can do .

 

Perhaps you should go for new cooling. The zalman would help a lot if you are going to volt mod.

 

Yea, im also considering getting a new cooler but an artic cooler silncer instead of zalman.
In the temperature settings there is a thing called "core slowdown threshold" and the default setting is 135 degree C. 135 degrees sound very high. Ist possible to change this value?

also what Zalman are you talking about? the silent heatpipe (ZM80D-HP) or the vf-700?

I think those temps are pretty normal. Dont think you should worry so much.

 

vf-700 cools everything even the memory heatsinks unlike the arctic cooler

 

stalkersoftware, im not worried about my current temps. But I wanna overclock the card more without damage it. So thats why i asked about how high the temp could go.
One solution is to get a better cooler, but for now im just instrested in how high temp the card can handle.
