you have pc *3200* are you running your divider 1:1 ? generally pc3200 is only good for 200mhz 1:1 (generally) now if your 1:1, and your trying to run it at say 220 or above, tht culd part of your issue aswell. i know my pc3200 i have to run with a divider of 166mhz instead of 200 , which is 5:4 on your bord i think ?

^ my memory , i think i finally found HTT Multi option in bios, i'm not crashing (so far) when i lowered it to 4 from 5 .. just want to confirm i did change the correct setting , it was under Advanced chipset -> LTD & PCI Bus control

by divider do you mean running it @ 200mhz? :[ sry i'm relatively new to this because my last computer was an HP and had no bios options

i set my memory to run at ddr 333

ya i'm kinda new to overclocking these a64's myself .... yes the divider, if same as mine you can set it at 200, 166, 133 etc atleast its that way on my bord. some have ratio's 1:1, 4:3 etc. 1:1 = 200mhz. so if your trying to put your memory at 200+ fsb you should use a divider. before i got my pc4200 iran my pc3200 at 9x245 with a 166 divider, which = 204 fsb. hope i'm making sense. go here and to the AMD cpu forum. tons of good stickies that can explain it way better than i can ;)

hey np. once you get it figured out it will oc better im sure ! took me a bunch of hours of reading to figure out the scoop on the A64 cpu overclocking ! its a little diffirent ;) one more thing. are you able to lock your AGP bus ? if so lock it to 66mhz. that also locks the PCI bus to 33mhz, and thats what you want !

ya i have the agp bus locked, and i set vcore to 1.475 -> and my cpu is clocked at 2400mhz , i ran CS:S VST 2 times, 3DMARK03 , and i've been running Prime95 torture test for the past hour and 45 minates, around how long before getting errors would it be considered stable? or for it to be stable does it not get errors ?

also my max load temp so far has been 54 according to abit's mb monitor , and max system temp 27 , is that an acceptable range of temps?

if i get 2 hours out of Prime95 staable, thats good in my books ... 55c is the max i would go with it overclocked. get yourself a decent heatsink. the Thermalright XP-90 isvery good. thats what i use, and my load temps never go above 43-44c. hit up the cooling section over at OC forums. oh by the way .. nice overclock. using a divider ?

those scores are right om the money for a stock 6800. EG: my leadtek 6800nu 12x1 5vp @ 375/800 scores 9850. with the pipes unlocked 16x1 6vp @ 375/800 it scores 10,700, sooooo no worries !

ya the pipes give me around 700-1000 points but in 3dmark05 on canyon i get a lot of white and black blocks / dots in the water even though the temperature stays below 60 :X when i usually don't oc my card for 3dmark because i don't oc when playing games :[ but at Memory 780.0 MHz
    Core 384.7 MHz (395/795 i get artifacts)
i let prime run for 3 hours and it didn't error so i guess i'm going to keep this OC'd at 2400mhz.. :D

thanks again for the help :D

That's probably the video card then... though I don't know for sure. The extra pipes might be defect and blocked for a reason. Anyway those are some nice speeds man!

ya my pipelines are definately bad , also in farcry w/ them unlocked the screen just turns black when playing with HDR, but it doesnt with just the vertex shaders unlocked. i'm not too worried though because when playing games like CSS it feels like my system is balanced :]

im afraid to try 2.5 on this cooling :x, are you using stock cooling? what temps are you getting?...

i know this doesn't belong in this forum but is my CPU score good on my 05 test? i hate seeing my fps that low :[
