This is so gay, both in 3rd person and 1st person mode, it has major mouse lag. I cant even aim at someone in time to kill them, they kill me before i can even get my sight on them its so bad. I've tried 67.03,71.84,76.41.

Ive tried millions of different setting combinations. And i put the max frames to render ahead to 0. None of this has helped. The only thing that helped was 800x600 res, but there was still a little mouse lag, well still a lot but little compared to before. Im so mad lol i want to play. I also tried the 450mb and the 600mb demo versions. None help.

    First Install Coolbits 2.

    Then go teh Nvidia Menu.

Click on the Additional Direct3D Settings.

Set Max Frames to render ahead to '' 0 ''.

When your done with Playing SC : CT set it back to 3.

OK, way to read his post. He said he already did that.

I'd make sure that you don't have any IRQ conflicts.

You have low FPS I believe, that ussually causes mouse lag.

His PC is more than up for the job but I guess he could get low FPS.

its SM 3.0 that drastically lowers framerates, just use 1.1 and your frame rate will double. apparently SM 3.0 performs much better in the retail version.

The retail version plays tons better. I had a mouse issue in the menus of the demo. It totally lagged and acted like you are saying it acts in the game. It was hard to select anything in the menus. Anyhow, it is not like that in the retail version for me.

Could try turning of HDR lighting, as it lowers framerate by alot (close to unplayable on anything less than 6800GT).
