    I could really careless about temp bugs and benchmark scores... I mean if you have good cooling then why care or if your a FPS freak then I might understand, otherwise dont download it unless you have problems with your current driver... Yes its a new driver... Does that instantly mean download and install it??? Personally I dont see the outcome worth the effort.

    Im now commited to playing World of Warcraft and im yet to find a driver that doesnt have issues with it... They list a few drivers it supports which are outdated and they continue to address that you need the latest drivers to play WoW error free.

    Well Im going to re-install the 71.90's because they run EQ II very well, I do have good cooling http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-122-196&depa=1

    Im not really a FPS freak, but I do have issues with most of the other drivers before 71.90's running well in EQ II. Sometimes the out come is worth the effort :D

    I just installed these drivers. My idle temp just jumped from 60 to 70 degrees.

    I just want to get something straight. This is a bug in the temperature reading or it's really hotter now?

    I just got a new 6800 gt and don't want to mess it up.

    Appreciate it.

    The temp increases are certainly real but it's only when you are in 2D mode(idle), when in 3D mode(gaming etc) the load temps are much the same as any other driver you'll find

    This whole temp argument is getting really rediculous. I think a new sticky thread for people who want to debate this meanlessness (is that a word??) should be created.

    Anyway, drivers are nice. Identical IQ with the 75.90's. FPS around the same too. I will edit this post with exact FPS compared to 75.90's unless more people argue about the stupid temp thing! :D

    Okay here we go:

    **Doom 3 Timedemo 1**
    75.90 - 68.6
    71.90 - 66.0

    **Half Life 2**
    C17
    75.90 - 52.68
    71.90 - 52.86

    Coast5
    75.90 - 82.54
    71.90 - 83.35

    Prison
    75.90 - 79.87
    71.90 - 78.74

    I did a couple of benchmarks with the 71.90's and the 75.90 as well, you can check them out here if you like :)

    Got the newewst Gainward bios and flashed it to 1.4vGPU on my Gainward 6800GT modded the bios for 400/1.10 clocks...no problem at all...

    Idle = 62c
    Load = 73c (after 30 min rthdribl)

    the 401MHz on 2d does the trick lower the temp @ idle. i got an idle temp of 49*C from 61*C. no matter i reboot it many times it is still 49*C idle with 401MHz trick.....
