    Yep the CAT 5.1's arent the best HL2/Source engine based game drivers.

    One question, what do the different FPS-options (normal, high, etc) actually do and which one do i have to choose during the install? (if it's important, i have a 9800SE 256MB)

    tnx in advance 4 explaining this ;)

    [edit] well, installed this set with the High option and everything seems fine. Just installed 'em on top of the original 5.1 and no errors whatsoever. Just played a Base Assault game in Call of Duty and my FPS stayed about 75 FPS ... so ... thank you DNA :cool:

    why removed?
    i used (and liked) the cs-ogl file alot!!! much smoother gfx ....
    the d3 driver improved fps ..

    ======

    as yanze mentioned ... pls explain the differences between normal/high/... fps

    ======

    i always had problems with installing DNAs ontop of other drivers (orig ATi and older DNAs) ... bad performance and mouse lags ...
    so i'll uninstall (complete) the old ones before also for this release...
    what are the benefits, if i install them ontop of the old ones?

    ======

    i like the design of the new DNA-Homepage :p

    thx for the great drivers,
    chibby

    On games like cod UO and Ut2k4 my fps are capped at 60. Whats the best option to use for both of these games?

    Reinstall cat 5.1 then install the new dna's. I had that problem and i solved it by reinstalling 5.1 cats.

    your refresh rate is prolly locked at 60..

    do a search for " RefreshForce".. and run it.. that will let you set the refresh rate to what you want..

    For CoD:UO, look in your uoconfig_mp.cfg for the setting called:
    seta com_maxfps "75"
    Set this between 1 and ... (some Punkbuster-aware servers have a limit on this, i've set mine to 75, i don't need 125 to do those so called "strafe jumps" :leave: )

    Also, RefreshForce and RefreshLock will help you ... and if i can get 75 FPS with my 9800SE, u could max out all your settings with your VGA-card :cool:

    Im having a little problem with the new DNA's. I uninstalled the older version and installed these only to get a "video mode not supported" error when I started up counter strike. It would only open in software mode. So I uninstalled them and installed the ati 5.1's like you guys said, then installed the new DNA's over them, but now I have no opengl or direct3d menu in the display options. I can't change performance settings or anything. All I see are general, monitor, adapter, troubleshoot and color management. I then uninstalled both and tried to just install the new DNA's but I got the problem I was having with the old ones... during installation it says that the display adapter on the system isn't supported. So I finally just reinstalled the 5.1's and I now have the ATI Control Center. Anybody know why I'm having this problem with the control panel of the new DNa's?
