I played farcry on my 5900ultra with my athlonXP system and averaged about 30fps on 1024x768 with high settings and 4xSS 8xAF. What kind of increase would I be looking at when I get my 6800GT along with a 3200+ clawhammer on a NF3 board? Because 30fps was very agitating.

My frame rates with the highest resolution (1280 by 1024 or whatever it is) and highest detail settings (as well as 4x AA and 8X AF) averaged at about 40FPS on my 6800GT...and the graphics are AMAZING at those settings, can't get better in a game really.

Well, it wasn't enabled then for a fact. Anyway to enable it, set all settings to max. Detail, Particle, etc. Doesn't have to have resolution to max though.

Once done, press ~ to get to console, and type:

    \r_hdrrendering 7

    or

    /r_hdrrendering 7

I forget which one, so forgive me. But once enabled, the game looks even better than it did before :D

EDIT** If you want to see what it does beforehand, and mind you, the performence hit is HUGE, go to:

    http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=96064&perpage=10&pagenumber=45

I posted 2 pics with it on.
