The first official release of zer0point drivers are here, in a not-so-beta form

All nVidia Geforce/Quadro cards are supported. (Sorry to those with TNT cards....we can't do much to help you at this point)

Mobile support is as of yet not planned, if you wanna offer us your machine for science experiments/beta testing, we might can work out some mobile drivers in the next few releases.

Here is an abridged list of the tweaks in this set:

    *Instruction Sets & Compat Modes:
    -SSE2
    -SSE
    -MMX
    -3Dnow!
    -AMD Compat
    -Intel Compat
    -Nvidia Compat
    -Via Compat

    *Blitting
    *Force 32bpp and Triple buffering
    *Pre-Render Length of 0
    *Force DXT5 & 3Dc
    *Set Z-Buffer, Compression, and Culling
    *Force PS 3.0
*Force 2x AA and Set Filter Quality/Clamping
    *Force Trilinear MipMaps
    *Texture Sharpening
    *Etc Etc

Can't you give more information than that? What drivers are these based on?

Test them yourself. Because they are great on my system, doesn't mean they will work at all with yours. Do something on your own like reading the info file. Don't depend on everybody else.

Hi all, I'm one of the modders on the zer0point team, pr0digaljenius and I are working togther on these drivers, they are based on the 6697 Forceware set. We are trying to keep as high of IQ as possile without loss of performance in as many instances as possible. This is our first release and frankly I like them :) If there's anything myself or pr0digal can do to help let us know....

    Indeed.

Currently only windows 2000 and XP are supported. Once I get a test partition up and running 98/ME support may also be added.

Any mroe questions, feel free to ask.

" how reliable are these? Someone might wanna give more feedback info than just 'they are really fast'"

-They have been tested on 3dmark05/03, the ATi Crytek Demo (with 3Dc enabled ;)), and HL2, Doom3, UT2004, and various other games. Hopefulyl I'll have some benches tonight.

When I tried them the Driver settings tweaks resembled Nvpage quite a bit and didnt do Source any justice on my system.

Also is there a Source Autoexec.cfg ? I couldnt fined one, only the HL2 and the Doom3, HL2 is same as Source Im aware but it did ask if u want them individualy.

Great idea though, your saving 'off the shelf' gamers from cvar/config madness :paranoid: , maybe more of an option for driver settings as Source seems to run like a pig unless I have the aa and af on high rather than low ....

Anyway the Beers finished talkign and wants to play a game before me eyes dry over.... Good first release but not doing my Source habit much good :( Will keep the autoexec though :mhp:

I tried these drivers on CS:Source and they're running pretty good. Before, I had 67.02 drivers and was getting around 40 fps on 1024 X 768 resolution with 4x aa and 2x af with highest settings. I tried these , and i get around 45-50 fps.. therefore I am giving these a go. Great job on the first release :)

ok, I tried it with the autoexec.. and my fps went down around 20. I guess it's probably because of my video card. it's cool though.. still good without autoexec :D

I'm working on a revision of that autoexec for 5x series nvidia cards now, that one's better for the 6x series, xtr3menubi I'll send you a link when it's done if you wouldn't mind giving it a go... right now though best perf and IQ for your card is without that autoexec, shoulda warned you sorry bro...

I downloaded, but I have not tried them yet.
