I recommend Savage-Xp driver sets. He as only tuner owns a 4xxx Ti a therefore the tweaks in his drivers are optimized for this type of cards. Of course also for FX 5200 and 5500, because these are similar graphics cores... :D

i use the VXG Drivers and a beta tester of their drivers and their tweaks work well with most cards. try them also

First: search for topic posted by himself(Savage). You'll find link in his first post. ;)

Second: FX 5700 has shapped 5950 core. And You have to optimize drives for core architecture...so tweaks for new cards cause often performance problems for older revisions. For example: original nvidia 5x.xx series of detonators were hardly FX optimized. Too much users with Ti or 4mx series of cards experienced huge performance drops in many games, using these driver sets....
Now, the situation has changed. The 6xxx series is very good, there's no need to optimize only for one series. So original 6x.xx drivers are mostly better for older cards, than drivers modded for new generation of graphics cards. :p

and i thought 44.67 starstorms were the best ones.

Atm i got evga 44.67, whats the difference between these two ?

dont think im stupid but i just feel like i've fallen from sears tower. lol

i thought of investing in new GFX but i noticed my ti4200 still runs smooth in every game i have bought/own.

saaavik, which drivers do you use, and btw thanks for responding man.

Using all Savage-Xp releases, now the latest stable: 67.02 Apocalypse Edition. Try them, You'll be really surprised, what Your card is able to play :D
For example I can play NFS undergroud 2 with almoust all details enabled at 800x600, or HalfLife2!!!

If You want to buy another card, best choice is 6xxx series... ;)

Try 61.76. For is more that ok. NFSU2 works 1024x768 all high except fsaa.
Css and HL2 runs at 800x600 all high trilinear filter and fsaa off and on the stress test i get 82FPS.

The most horrible drivers I've used with a ti-4200 are the 4x.xx series. Dont be misled by benchmarks, yes they do give high benches, but horrible quality and game play.

The 61.76 for me have been miraculous for the ti-4200. Try them.
