Yeah, cant valve fix a patch so we can use AA on without those white lines on someplaces in the game, it can't be a driver issue it must be valve. and no, it's not the cards fault.
(this is the only game serie with this ****)

and why does not 6x AA work in HL2, if i try 2 change to 6x , it says 6x but the game AA is OFF.

This really suxx,,, ATI may be the right way :(

play dm_lockdown. and you will se them with AA 4x + 8x in 1280 evryting on max...

they dissepear if AA is OFF.

is this an NVIDIA only Issue?

they are ALWAYS on the same spots but they dissepears when you go closer.

and 6x AA isnt working because nvidia doesnt support this mode of AA! what did you expect from a game which is coded for ATI cards? hey i bet they even tried to decrease perf on NV cards (no support for 16 bit precision). but highly optimized for 24 bit which is used by ATI! and the NV users have to ise 32 bit which is better but costs a lot more performance...

ps: sorry for my bad english but its late... :D

I have yet to find a driver that gets rid of those lines you speak of..
65.73 / 66.81 / 67.02 / 67.03 / 66.93 / all those have given me white lines, albeit some werent as apparent as others, but they were still there...
    soo good luck..
and 6x isn't supported by nvidia

I have tried every driver over 65.73 and with everyone the lines are there.

    but only with AA on..

    so it's an NVIDIA issue??

    Not for me :(

I'm using the latest 71.20s and the white lines are still there with 4x AA.

65.73 should fix it, but the 66xx is useless, the 67xx is ok, its much less, but its still there, very bad drivers.

The white lines are defiantly there with the 71.20 drivers but are less noticable with the 67.03's. With AA enabled of course.

Same problem here. And no different drivers do not fix it. Using the good old 61.77s!!

this AA white line must be a problem with the 6 series...cause i never see it and i use 2x AA on CSS and HL2...not with any driver revision...do they implement AA differently...cause i know they do AF differently then the 5 series...

i didn't notice yours...most time i see mention of it its from someone with a 6800...figured maybe they implemented a new way of doing AA as they did AF

no need to be an @ss about it....

    I'm not.

I think it might be something wrong with the game. Try dm_lockdown. I see soo many white lines it is terrifying.

They seem to get smaller and smaller with every increase in resolution. If I switch to 640 x 480 there are like a million of em.

Try tech connect drivers 70.90. Can't post the link here, as Guru3D won't allow that.
These modified/optimized drivers solved most white line issues for me.

    Look in Google for:
    "nvidia optimized v04"
    (without the quotes)

67.22 all css glitches i seen are gone. i saw red rectangles, white rectangles, and the white lines this kid mentions in the beginning of the thread. only time i saw them tho is when i raised my screen res over 1024x768, anyway these quadro drivers rock.

I don't know about you, but I would say that red and white rectangles and white lines are all glitches.
