I agree. It looks like an old 90's website.

Sorry for being harsh, but this ain't good, place it side by side with any other recent website and Guru3d already looks a decade old.

I know you guys aren't swiming in money, but this looks way too amateurish.

    +1.

I've been here over a decade and it feels like you've gone back in time instead of forward. The harsh blocky colours and contrasts dont match.

Forgive me if this is also harsh - but did you engage any of your users on what they visited the site for and what to prioritise on the lay out? All i see is facebook crap taking the main spot.

well since that in my bachelor diploma (which has no stamp by the minister of education... seriously Denmark WTF? in Romania all bachelor diplomas must have an official stamp from the minister of education) it says that im a "professional web developer" i must say that you guys did a good job with the backend part, creating a CMS for the site, but the only problem from my part is that this design does not really work for 2012, more like 2009.
    just my 2 euro cents

actually im sorry i criticized the design that much, im used with the fancy design of neowin, but the redesign of g3d is also pretty up to date, just not what i seen in neowin, i use that site as "benchmark". hey we're gurus here, we need benchmarks! :D

I come here for the News, reviews, forums, etc. Iam willing to give the new v4.0 a change to see how it affects the guru3D experience. A fellow guru mentioned how it now take longer to find reviews and Hilbert immediately addressed that issue. Iam just trying to say that if the experience is more difficult with v4.0 then that might be of interest to Hilbert.
Most everything else falls under personal taste.

You could've not been working on this design more than a week!

New design looks better than old, but I liked when on older design there was some old hardware pictured.

I wouldn't consider Neowin any type of "benchmark" for webpage design. It's too generic and mimicked on countless other sites.

The new page looks much better Hilbert. It's great that everything is upfront and much more easily accessible. Best webpage layout I've seen in a long time.

Looks very nice, a much needed face lift, well done chaps.

Now, let me be the first arsehole grammar ***** -

The following aren't spelling mistakes, but I believe they're missing capitals on "reviews" and "cases" - Just for continuity with the rest of the page.

    Now that I'm done being a c**t, two questions, Hilbert;

1.) Any chance of a skin that compliments the main page?

2.) Is there any leverage on the Guru3D title? There's probably a lot of decent Photoshop guru's in here who would be more than happy to come up with some designs and ideas for one.

    :)

Phrag, that is the aged content section it still needs to be cleaned out.

Took care of the capitals though.

Obviously if anyone would like to submit a better logo background feel free to submit it. I'm completely open for that. Needs to be at a maximum of 50 KB though.

And to your other question. Once VBB gets to v5 final, we might migrate and design a new skin for the forums, so yes.

Nice work boss, any chance in bringing back the red dark screen for the forums?
