I think that the water is the same but the super sampled images add a lot of magic to the end result (anyone knows how to use super sampling in this game with AMD cards??)...What I would really like to know is how did he managed to got that awesome DoF ...here are some of mine but the quality is not the best anyway(all settings to the max including ultra textures and TSMAA and pretty playable):

This is an example of the weird texture glitch I mentioned earlier:

Look at the guy on the right...he has dark blue skin!!! You only have to look at the colour of his hands to realise that there's some very wrong here! :3eyes:

Yea it's working. I haven't ran across anything like that. What driver are you using?

This game is meant for future nvidia cards, see the marketing thing there ? I dont think its optimization or those things. They could have known that more than half of their customers have 2gb video cards, and the game EVEN on medium textures uses 2gb vram (i tested it).

So that being said, we could pause this game, or wait for a reply from ubisoft, which i dont think its gonna happen, didnt happened in AC3 and AC4 days, why should happen now...

Triple buffering works fine in this game for me and I'm not using any third party app. I have V-Sync set to 1 and GPU Buffers on 3. I get a framerate that fluctuates at any figure between 20 and 60 FPS without any of the telltale 60-straight-down-to-30-and-back-to-60 FPS you get with double-buffered games.

Are you playing the official Uplay version, that had a small 40 MB download/patch, or a leaked version?

Thanks a lot for that, that's valuable info. Nice to see native triple buffering support.

I know.. It's so very disappointing though. The entire marketing of the game revolves around 2GB cards. Nvidia is bundling it with lower end, and 2GB cards also. Some poor sap is going to buy a 2GB card with Watch Dogs for free. Get home, install it just to find out it's essentially outdated already for the card and forced to run at medium textures.

Event their recommended specs focus purely on 2GB cards...

Very good, except it has a bad habit of every single time you need to be on the other side of a river for part of a mission, it places you under the bridge with no easy way to get up on top to cross, that's happening so regularly now its starting to get annoying

    Game play wise: Very good
Game performance wise: A LOT left to be desired.

Many of us are crossing our fingers for a miracle day one patch
