I think it looks lovely, if I was building a small PC I'd be tempted, but I'm quite happy with my 780T.
I would prefer if it had a vertical mounting space for an optical drive in the rear compartment. I still occasionally use mine. Other than that, fine case.
Wel, i have seen worst case with " air purifier" look .. my old Asetek Vapochill XE2.. Hopefully the front was easely removable and easy to custom then so. ( A simple PVC painted in black with 6 screws for attach it was do the job and hide haver a better intake for the gpu h20 radiator ). This one could have win a prize on the air-conditioner design competition in the 80's.
Yes, thus was the one glaring omission for me. Legacy software often has no other way to install other than off an optical drive. I don't want to have to use a USB optical drive just for that.
Love the look of the 740, I have the 540 but the deal breaker is no 5 1/4 inch bay so I can't use my fan controller.
I actually one of the few that love the looks. I love my air 540. The airflow is amazing if you pair it with the right fans and speed.
I thought i would like this being a wider design. But , no dvd-drive space.. would have to pass on this one. To me it's still a must to have at least the space for one. If not for that, it would be great.
Could they make a smaller one, for just mATX? If you don't want a 360 rad in the front, they could redo the height for just a 280 instead. Two 280 rads and a mATX motherboard would satisfy most people, when considering the dropping TDPs on CPUs and GPUs. Losing 3 inches / 80mm in height, this case could look a bit towards the cube side of the case spectrum. (and maybe a vertical DVD in the bottom right of the front? I have a Pioneer 104S slot-in that would fit? )
I dont like it at all. Too roundy, softy look, not in my taste. I will definetly skip this case in my next build.
I'm surprised people still use disc drives. I haven't had one in my PC for like 5 years. I have an external one in a draw if I need one for something.
I like this case, although I'd like it better if there was space to mount wide enough fans in the PSU/drive compartment front, back and top as well as a slot for my BluRay burner and perhaps a mesh side panel instead of the plexiglass one.
