Two GeForce RTX cards have been released, yet three where announced. The cheaper RTX, or less expensive model 2070 still is awaiting an actual launch. Some expected later this month, but NVIDIA finally shared the word about it....

Good luck with that. My 2080ti pre-order was cancelled last minute and I see this happened to a lot of people. There appears to be a few ridiculously overpriced 2080's available that have been sitting around since no one is stupid enough to pay $1400 for a 2080.

This is why i hate NVIDIA as a company , all this MSRP BS is driving me mad , we all know we won't see any RTX2070 under 600$ , @ best it will be maybe if we are lucky 570~580$.
What's even more funny is how no one is saying anything how the RTX2070 should have been the RTX2060 , the lack of NVllink finger , the fact that RTX2080 is same speed as the gtx1080TI (the new X70 card's used to be same speed as the ex TI) , the GTX1080 was a lot faster then the 980TI.

Thank's AMD , because you focus to much on consoles you forgot how to make a high end card, and because of that NVIDIA doesn't have competition so they can ask what ever they want.

No surprises here. Nvidia pricing the TU106 RTX 2070 at GTX 1080 launch prices. lol

But, since the 184/64/2944 texture/ROP/core RTX 2080 matches the 224/88/3584 core GTX 1080 Ti, is it possible the RTX 2070 manage pull ahead of the 160/64/2560 core GTX 1080 performance wise?

Based on current RTX 2080 and Ti euro prices vs US msrp prices, a better estimate for the RTX 2070 euro price is around €620-650.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

P.S: Is it just me or does Nvidia's current RTX pricing looks terrifyingly similar to mining craze gpu prices?

If it's equal to a 1080 then it pretty much confirmed what i said , the RTX2070 gpu was meant to be the RTX2060 , but lack of competition made NVIDIA to change it's mind , so they shifted the entire product line, and because of that i will stick to my RX480 , i mean for the games i play its more then enough.

I was thinking the other day whether if i went to the PC store and wanted to build a 144hz system would it be worth getting an RTX card in a new build and the guy told me i'd be better off getting a 1080Ti. It was only a dream but i think it's reality.

So what would you get if the price was the same a 1080Ti or a 2080. Man that's a hard decision tp make. One thing i do know is that 2080Ti is not only out of my price range but also STUPID money for a GFX card. £800 is silly money just for a gfx card too but acceptable for a AiB OC'd Ti card.

In my mind a Ti is the pinnacle of single card gfx performance and paying £800 for a none Ti card, well i just can't wrap my head around far enough to understand it.

Therefore for me Real Time Ray Tracing alone is probably not going to happen until maybe the 3rd installment of RTX implementation. So no 20XX for me and maybe not even 21XX, for me i might jump over to RT with the 22XX series. Until Pascal can't do 144hz/fps @ 1080p/1440p then that will be maybe time to jump on 4k and future RTX cards.

2070 was said to not get RT, right?

Why would anyone pay the asking price for this vs. a GTX 1080?

The RTX 2070 will have same features as RTX2080 & RTX 2080Ti.

Unless something changed, the RTX 2070 has/should have 36 RT cores(and 288 Tensor).

the xx70 (or x70 lol) has traditionally been the biggest seller opening the enthusiast class doors for many... or the gateway drug .
the price/performance has traditionally been strong.
    and the market has responded.
    all true, all the past.
i'm not going to repeat the point so many others have made, suffice to say at the asking price anyone has better options as far as price/performance.
but there is breaking new ground or there is walking a lonely road...the 2070 is gettin' a mite lonesome there pardner;)

With current pricing it appears Nvidia is once again pushing all the pricing up a tier with the new 2080ti replacing the titan for rediculousness hopefully there is no titan but i doubt that and as for anyone claiming titan isn't a gaming card i call BS on that since first titan double precision on titan was cut down so much so that it doesn't make sense buying it for anything other than gaming.

I really do hope the pricing is just until they sell all the 10 series stock if that's the case then the pricing makes sense as people can still upgrade if they're willing to spend the premium.

I'm rather curious to know if the pricing is more of a staple till AMD release their cards (if they ever do?) cause i don't think Nvidia could keep selling $1300 cards if AMD is getting similar performance for $600, Though if the prices drop that much i can see some people getting super pissed off XD but hey buyers remorse for giving money for what has to be the worst price/performance generation ever

There is plot twist here. RTX 2070 does not have NVLink, but its page lists SLI. Will it be supported via PCIe?

Why not? Raytracing. In all games which will use raytracing, it will be limiting factor. And at same time it is type of distributed parallel calculation which has linear scaling with number of GPUs as it is not iterative and it is content independent.
    RTX 2080 Ti has 10GRays/s, 2x RTX 2070 would have 12GRays/s.

I might pick it up if they adjust the price a bit (which is highly unlikely) but probably will end up getting a GTX 2060 in the end.

The way Nvidia has been downgrading the 70 series is criminal to say the least. The 970 was an amazing card with great performance with a very decent price, so good that made the 980 almost unnecessary. To "correct" this issue, the 1070 was more expensive and the delta between the 80 series widened to make sure it didn´t steal sales from the 1080. Now the 2070 is using an weaker chip than the 2080 and it´s even more expensive than before! I understand that Nvidia wants to push their clients towards more expensive cards but no this way...

Whats really funny is how people have such a short memory.
Historically you considered a generation jump of one level. ie. a 70 replaced the previous 80, and so on. And before Pascal that was quite consistent as well. Only Pascal made a bigger leap. And now thats considered the "standard" citing past precedent, while in fact the one case where this was true was the outlier.

I just checked, surely it doesn't only have 5GB of VRAM (enough for 1080p) but what were they thinking!?

Now I'm leaning towards the GTX 1080. Funny how ones opinion can change in the blink of an eye.
