Apparently it seems like quite a good board for under $300

 

At least a motherboard that is less painfull to look...
But ok my next computer will have ram with RGB (Gskill royal) but it will be the only one

 

No reason to pay extra money to see lights you'll never see.

Willing to pay more to NOT have leds on it?

The 16gb rbg kit i got, was cheaper than any other non-rgb sticks with same speed/similar timings.
Not even talking about that proper sticks can be controlled, e.g. leds turned off (which i did).
But hey, always cool to complain about non-existent/1st world problems

Performance looks good, but I find design pretty amateurish.

It doesn't run on low load, so no noise, and even on my rig with throttled 8dba case/rad fans its not audible, and under load (gaming etc) its still nit noticeable.

 

Exactly. No mainboard with such LOUSY cooling "solution" can be considered "pleasing". Aesthetically or otherwise. What we, customers, want is a ROCK STABLE, fan-free, 100% RELIABLE all-metal body-sink cooler solution for the bridge.

 

I think its a sexy board. MSI's current MEG series boards (both Intel and AMD socket) have been excellent and the fan on my X570 MEG Godlike is silent as hell even under heqavy load. 99% of the time it doesn't even spin up and when it does you need to stick your ear right up to it and MAYBE you'll hear something. Also, great VRM and RAM/PCI slots on MSI boards. Could use two more SATA ports but that's nitpicking now.

So i assume your whole pc is cooled with passive heatsinks incl psu and gpu?
Would like to see some pics, as i dont know any 1080p card from the past 12-14 month that can be had without a fan.

You seem to be missing the point here: these SMALL and FLIMSY fans used for additional cooling of the mobo's chipset are NOTORIOUSLY unreliable. Unlike the fans used with nowadays CPU/GPU coolers, they tend to fail after relatively short period of time (they either burn out or get stuck from the slightest amount of dirt/dust). Don't take my word for it - ask the repair technicians.
And the producers (Asus, MSI...) know EXACTLY what they are doing: the real solution (good sink made of copper+magnesium/aluminum) would raise the cost for, say, 5 Euros per mobo. So the price (from the customers' standpoint) wouldn't have been much of an issue, but that would make the product much more durable - that's what the producers don't like at all - come again soon, dear Mr. Customer and make your next purchase....

 

Are you gonna get off on your mainboard? If so I am interested.

 

If the lack of Bling and RGB crap has brought the price down, i'm happy.
This is a pretty nice looking board for once, and its not too expensive as X570's go.
Its also pretty stable, and has VRM's that are well cooled.

Just wish there was some more mATX love...

or not. been working on my/friends/family computers since 2001, working as tech in multiple shops/stores in europe and the US since 2005,
yet to see more than one here and there getting killed by runtime (and not dust etc, caused by user, directly or indirectly).
look at amds requirement for power on the bridge and required cooling, and see how big it would need to be if its passive.
Not even talking about the fact that these dont run all the time (on balanced its not coming on before 75*C) which extends life, or that i have used +10 of small fans (below 60 mm) from brands like noiseblocker/noctua for years, again: without one dying while i had them.
or that there have been a few years since there were some issues with small fans (mainly on gpus, having higher temps/runtime), and i doubt board makers decided to design these with 1y life expectancy in mind,

if it fails i will do what i did with anything else that failed in the past 15y, replace it.

and the size of the fan isnt telling you how reliable it is, tis the build quality.

 

There are two boards in the all x570 line up with no fans and is the top of the line 999 asrock and the 650 gigabyte.

we have to accept that the x570 has to have fans


and that story that small fans break down faster has to do with the fans that old motherboards brought not these new ones
