Well to each their own.
I missed the Corsair pack giveaway but my kids would destroy it too quickly anyways and I'm guess I would be better with a Microsoft Wireless Desktop kit (I already got the 3050 kit and it works great so far).

Such a NAS sounds great to me as I already have twin 4TB HGST deskstar drives for such a purpose in a raid 1 but every once in a while the kid hits the reboot process of the computer or windows changes its settings and the mirror starts re-syncing and ruins my experience. So such a nas can really fix it for me even if the wiping of drives will be a bit problematic for me for the initialization.

But really I have r5-1600 with 16gb LPX-3000 I built around last Christmas and of course the first thing I did was to overclock the CPU and the RAM(to 2933/3066) and since the computer sometimes takes a few tries to properly start if I get fast startup enabled in Windows I get a faulty start->dirty mirror-> a re-sync taking most of the day. And after every major windows update this setting turns on again.

Yeah I guess I wanted to say I prefer this one to the Corsair bundle but ended up venting my frustration.

This would be such a great thing for me. My old NAS has just given up the ghost.

 

This one I would certainly enjoy! I have been looking at small, simple NASes for a few years, but haven't got around to getting one, for one reason or another. Instead I've a collection of normal external HDs, which isn't always so convenient.

Don't worry, it is noticed and headbanged at. ChristNAS. So HH really puts the NAS in ChristNAS...

I'll enter this one since my current "NAS" is an AMD FX 4100 system with 4 2TB WD Red's that stays on 24/7.
