Download the Nvidia GeForce 411.63 WHQL driver as released by NVIDIA. The drivers have optimizations for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Forza Horizon 4, and FIFA 19. This driver also add support... GeForce 411.63 WHQL driver download
For those on Win 10 like me who updated from much earlier driver (397.93) then began getting "nvspcap64.dll" errors on bootup that just wont go away, even after uninstalling 411.63, try looking in registry under "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run",,, and delete the entry containing this entry "C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe C:\Windows\system32\nvspcap64.dll,ShadowPlayOnSystemStart" - may pay to back up first though.. Took me a while to find it. 411.63 seems a new approach altogether.. Edit - Sorry if you see large gaps between words, don't know what happened there...!!!
This one locks core voltage slider to zero and unable to overclock voltage. Back to 399 but kept updated Phsyx drivers. I see the 2080 is actually no better than 1080ti in lower resolutions. Just as I thought a dud, and ray tracing is just candy trying to get you into the van....
checked release notes for anything interesting. higher framerate in monster hunter world. neat ^^ but where are the notebook drivers?
Went back to 397.93... 411.63 stutters on YouTube - "nVidia Control Panel" nowhere to be seen and wont start up from normal Control Panel icon - Slows down PC shutdown by maybe up to 10 secs - Some games showed graphics slight imperfections (GTX980) especially going from shadow areas into daylight areas where some leaves & branches on trees etc appear to momentarily disintegrate, especially on FarCry5. For me, this is a poor driver.. 4xx.xx drivers must be the beginning for a new series or something...!!! With 397.93, things are back to normal..
Low resolution performance is limited by CPU speed. Not GPU power. IMO, DLSS running on Tensor cores is a far better selling points for now since there are 25 soon to be released games utilizing it. Not only will a game look much better using DLSS than a 1080ti using traditional AA techniques, it will also run considerably better due to tensor cores.
Normal 2080rtx is similar as stock 1080ti @ 1440p, by 4k even lower.. so that's a moot point by both of you.
Funny then that all the benchmarks by JayZTwoCents and other youtubers prove otherwise. Moot point since you're wrong. It's around 30% faster, fact. Might not be a lot but that's not "similar".
