TPU's both Asus and Zotac AMP! hit 1890MHz RAM

OC-ed they end up 12% faster than ref. 680 :3eyes:

    11% faster for an OC-ed Hilbert's ref. 670 vs 680

All GTX680 owners should sent an e-mail to nvidia asking our 100 bucks back :D

I managed to get a OC MSI 670 from Dabs. :hatty:

Um, the 670 has kinda made the 680 and 690 a bit pointless. Perhaps Nvidia rolled out the 680 as a short term thing to grab the performance headlines from AMD and the 670 was planned to be the true mass market item. I dunno, it just seems weird to me to make a card with most of the performance of the top-end for much less money. :/

If I was a 680 owner I would feel a bit cheated right about now tbh. :bunch:

It has everything to do with Yields. The GK104 was designed a certain way, some of them didn't come out of production that way, they get binned at a lower class.

Tempted to sell and get custom 670 SLI tbh, shouldn't lose anything on the 680 seeing how hard to come by they are, got a 3 year transferable warranty too.

So the same as every video card, then. The end result is the same. Nvidia has made a very good performing card at an acceptable price that put its previous offering in the shade. AMD must be annoyed at this point and will have to make further reductions to its whole range of 78xx/79xx cards.

The MSI one I snagged is at the front. Lots and lots of boxes. Possibly the worlds supply of 670's for the coming year. :peeright::3eyes::peeleft:

lol, fantastic pic, though not a very popular shop here but i have yet to have an issue with them, and they always get the most stock of AMD and Nvidia cards.

Think i will get the ASUS Direct CU II next month, clocked a good amount higher and nice and quiet, glad these have turned out so well as i really don't like getting the top GPU in the range, never have.

oh, they deactivated a shader core physically with brute force, that will never be turned into a 680 gtx, only using OC, sad...

What do you want me to say, how great it performs and how beautiful the card looks? I think the review says it all but perhaps it would that make you feel better? lmao.

I said after those Tweaktown benchies, i wonder if 680 owners are gona be pissed, as i can't see a point in the 680 now, as the 670 is right on it, and the 670 is probably like the 7970, as in, when its clocked along with the 680, they are both around same performance.

Mind you, there was already no point in the 680 since AMD dropped the 7970 prices, 670 is just making the 680 look even worse, as theres now 2 cards much cheaper giving the same performance.

Still, if you havn't bought yet, you could be in for some good news, as AMD may drop the 7970/50 prices yet again, as the 670 is even matching/beating those.

True, early adopters always come off worst, but they know the risks.

A overclocked 680 will still be the better card, it just depends on the person if the extra money is worth it, me personally am not one of those people.

really good card tbh if i had waited for this moment i might have bought 670 but well i can't say i'm unhappy with my 7950 since it doesn't really lose that much if any when clocked the same as i do clock this thing :D a lot.

670 is the winner this gen from review standpoint yar
