i've yet to see any other game probably since crysis 3 that looks so aesthetically clean and beautiful to look at , running 1080p ultra 60fps all the way, smooth as butter.

I've heard this so, so many times. When the 980 came out and people realized playing 4k max settings in current (at the time) games was unfeasible, then the Titan X was announced and everyone was like TITAN X! TITAN X! 4K60 ! 1440p144hz hellz yea!

Then reality hits, and as games gradually require more and more performance from the hardware, you'll never be able to maintain 4k. Getting a 1080 for 1440p120hz is exactly the same as getting a 980ti for 1440p120hz back when it was released. It might actually achieve that, at max settings, on a game or two... but for games that are coming out 2016 and 2017 ? impossible! you'll need a 1080ti for that :p

Crysis 3 looks better than pretty much any other game you can name, considering it's aesthetic,I'd argue the Witcher 3 is more aesthetically pleasing, but graphically crysis is unmatched. It still hard to run at max settings today, heats up my 980Ti more than 3dmark that's for sure

i have motion blur set to off and vsync to adaptive. and motion blur quality to low, i agree the game is super smooth at 60 fps as it is using 365.10 driver.

Same issue with batteries and smartphones, seems like we're getting nowhere with battery technology, but stick a current smartphone battery into a phone from 15 years ago, and tell me how many times a year you have to charge it

hahaha that's true, but at least with batteries you can count of some materials breakthrough that brings several orders of magnitude of improvements, whereas with our GPUs...

The games that run 16 operations per pixel per frame at 1080p today, will run 64 operations per pixel per frame at 1080p tomorrow. So the 1080p of tomorrow will be as strenuous as 4k of today. C'est la vie.

No CTD, but with Nightmare Shadows i'm getting massive stuttering(Slide-show) after completing a Challenge, it returns you back and it is unplayable(The game needs restart in order to be able to play again). So avoid the Nightmare Shadows if you have a 4GB card. It only happens if you play a challenge, otherwise it's fine. Nightmare textures on the other hand, gives no issues.

I just arrived in hell but for some weird reason my fps is much lower there, it probably has to do with them particles flying around weird.

Well i just reverted back to the 365.10 and finally got past the point were i was constantly CTD with the newest drivers. More or less in the same area. And so far it seems good.

I can't say for sure it's a driver issue, but since Doom is the only game that has had me CTD, it kinda make me suspisious. The only bad thing about the .10 drivers is that they give me like 20 fps less compared to the new ones.

Just saw the unboxing of the CE edition. Really disappointing, the red light and fan looked pretty stupid in the dark, it's as if they never tested it and just stuck a light and fan in there with the assumption of how they thought it might look.

Wow! It runs so well at a buttery smooth 95-120fps/1440p/Ultra and looks quite good. Not as excellent as some have said but well enough. Level design is great, weapons too (including sounds) but the only thing that bothers me a little is the SFX mixed with music. At some point I dont know if there are monsters coming or not due to all the messed up audio mixed up together.

Just start the damn game man, geez ;) It's only 60fps in the menus for some reason.

I'll get the 1080Ti too in time :) Still, 4K is not an option for me yet. Maybe in 2018? Depend on the cards that come out by then. Just as long as 1440p/144Hz runs OK, I'm good.

I've had the audio cut out completely for a few seconds to then resume as normal a few times in single player. Started happening approx 2 hours in.

Never had this in any other game.

    Titanium Hd using Cmss3d.

From the benchmarks it looks like once again Nvidia severely blocked the performance on older cards.

A 960 is almost on par with a 780 Ti, and a 970 more than doubles the performance of a 770.

It's a really depressing business practice.

Just played a little bit, maxed out the settings at 1440p (screenshots attached) so far performance is stellar and lowest dip I've seen was to 72fps

    980ti@ 1490/8000 didn't even break past 62c

365.19 is much better in Doom on my system. Getting over 10 fps more in some areas and feels smoother. This is at 4k with ultra settings.

Doom looks amazing and the gameplay is great so far. Only nitpick I have is the poly count seems very low for a 2016 game.
