I use 780 sli in surround monitors. I use potplayer with SVP with this setup cuda cores active http://www.svp-team.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=284 With drivers above 344.11 I get a thick screen tear that goes up and down when I watch videos. I also get the same thick tear in Borderlands pre sequel but it starts at the bottom and moves up slowly in the center screen only. Why is this? Is this cuda related or hdmi cable being used on center screen? Tried many different fixes but nothing works. This sucks cause I feel stuck with an old driver
I get the same thing with surround too, doesn't happen with single screen mode, only surround, can't work out what's wrong because it doesn't happen all the time, the same game will be perfect sometimes
what driver are you using? this is driving me mad. I know it is driver related so what did nvidia do to their drivers after 344.11?
344.65 / 344.80 / 347.09 It's as if it loses vsync but in a way that is 10x worse than normal, as if the top and bottom of the screens are not even connected at all, makes me feel sick trying to play like that
Nah, not sure how much performance loss I'd take with an old driver and new GPU, plus I need the new features of 347.09 Currently have a Rift on loan, so am back to single screen & Rift for now, so not seeing the tearing atm
