Just started my download a couple of minutes ago and it says I have 14 more to go and is downloading at 1.3mbps. No complaints over in these parts.

I will try this at home when I get back tonight but if all the reports are true: Low console FOV Lack of advanved gfx tweaking options Overdone blur DX9 Aim Assist Press start? They can go suck one, I'm not paying for no ****ty console port that I have to fix hacking around in configs. What the hell is this? copy paste demo straight from the 360? Just shows how much they care about us PC gamers.
alrdy played the other "version" on multi, only 10mins, will try demo, but doubt it will go over bfbc2 on my preferences.
Tweaking is fun, but having to fix stuff that should have been done by the developer as the number 1 priority when porting a game to PC to maintain PC FPS standards? And coming from a major PC dev of the past, it is nothing short of a huge slap in the face. What next? Maybe they left mouse acceleration turned on too? Or maybe made everything in 16:9 aspect so if you use anything else you get black bars or big huge stretched hud items? Nothing would surprise me if they cant even get FOV right for a PC game. It just shows how much they care about the PC gamer, big fat zero.
i dont see the difference between this, and forcing vsync and tripple buffering in certain games, since the ingame vsync doesnt work properly. its part of PC gaming, trying to get the game to work like you want it to work. then enjoy it. even more if you check any UE3 game , you will see there is allot of console code still left in there. do you also not play those games because of this ?
Oh don't get me started on the UE3 games, quite a few I gave up on. MOH SP comes to mind because you couldnt change the FOV as they hard coded it! Or Borderlands where you had to bind FOV to your forward key as it would reset the FOV back to 50 all the time. UE3 ports regularly make me rage but this is different. I expected more from Crytek and after the pro PC gaming interviews the demo shows us that it was all just lies and they dont give a crap about PC gaming and just done a quick shovelware port.
owww ill give this ago , this might be the first multiplayer game ive played, hello guys could you tell me is this fully gfx implemented ie high settings and dx11 ect or is it just dx9 and medium like beta ? thank you all
Well I ran the demo and the lighting was amazing, best lighting hands down. As far as performance went it ran like silk. Averaged in the high 40s and it wasn't even using SLI just one gtx 470. All in all it was ok to play, well really it was boring. Fired up BFBC2 right after it and it felt so much better. May pick it up out of the bargain bin in the future.
It is DX9 for sure and I ran it on the highest in game settings which were a mixed bag of results for me. It felt like a halo rip off to be honest!
still unable to register whether i try ingame or from mycrysis.com you would think they would of known every man and his dog WILL download this lol
Crysis 2 demo goes like this. Click Crysis 2 demo icon. Open game. Get passed crappy logo screen. Try to create account. Get stuck account creation loading screen. Alt tab, close down game. Never ending cycle. ****ing Gamespy FTL
^try to use a existing ea account if you have one. Now i dont want to be the guy saying how this game offers very little new things or how it feels stale or even that its fov will cause brain damage. But it never stopped me before repent the lord is coming save yourselfs run away from this while your still able minded!!!!
same here... They could have at least thrown a benchmark app in there... Now I can't do anything but wait till I'm finally able to login Also, anyone noticed that they locked down the entire game? Everything compressed in one file called "nigle"
