Hello All, I am currently using an LG 24gl600F 144hz Monitor. I am using CRU and set custom resolutions of 1440x1080 / 1024x1024 @ 144hz that i use. I have set it and it works with no issue and shows 144hz via Control Panel. Now when I go and set it in game ( Valorant ) it sets it but my hz is automatically set to 120hz instead of 144hz while in fullscreen but 144hz works in Windows Borderless. Not understanding this at all is it a Monitor issue I am connected via HDMI.

Try to add custom resolution in NV Panel :) then You should get it full screen also.
Same thing is on Radeon, we need custom res. added to registry.

Thanks for the reply. I am guessing you mean NVidia Control Panel custom resolution? If so I tried but it says the resolution is already added.. (CRU) program.

Try both lcd native and standard and go back and forth with freesync range limiting the framerate 2-3fps below refresh rate.

do you recommend increasing both the maximum and minimum of the freesync range?

Have a C27F and ended up at 40-75hz with only increasing the minimum from 48hz. You can try that. Play with the settings until you notice flickering is gone. I have none on my 580.

I have tried different ranges, but I still have flickering during the loading of games, I don't know what to try anymore

hi people, is it normal now that my monitor is now being shown as "wired display" in windows "advanced display settings". i had to modify my 144hz settings to "lcd standard", to solve my high idle memory clock. running the latest 20.5.1 drivers.[IMG]
okay never mind, i actually solved it by not adding a new resolution. but by replacing the current profiles instead. worked flawlessly.

btw, can any kind soul explain to me how CRU actually works? is it like a driver setting? like these settings load up during boot? meaning this settings are just temporary?

Does CRU work with the newest AMD drivers? I had an NVidia GPU with about ten years and changed to an XFX RX5700XT Thicc III Ultra three months ago. With Nvidia Control panel I was able to set a custom resolution of 3440 x 1440 (My monitors native resolution is 2560 x 1080 60Hz) to do downscaling. But I found that this is not possible with the AMD drivers. I tried to set the custom resolution but it tells me my monitor doesn't support the resolution. With the virtual super resolution the closest I am seeing is 3840 x 1620.

You need to add custom res. also in registry (I can Play games even at 5k ;) tested Forza H4)
    Here is hint how.

Every line must be in specific order !
    e.g. 38,40,21,60,00,00,00,70 is 3840:2160 @70Hz

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000]

    "DALNonStandardModesBCD4"=hex:12,00,10,24,00,00,00,70,12,80,07,68,00,00,00,70,\
    12,80,09,60,00,00,00,70,16,00,12,80,00,00,00,70,19,20,10,80,00,00,00,70,19,\
    20,12,00,00,00,70,17,92,13,44,00,00,00,70,18,00,14,40,00,00,00,70,18,56,13,\
    92,00,00,00,70,19,20,10,80,00,00,00,70,25,60,14,40,00,00,00,70,20,48,11,52,\
    00,00,00,70,38,40,21,60,00,00,00,60,38,40,21,60,00,00,00,70

Then add custom resolution in ReliVe and it shoud work if done right
Virtual Sup. Res. & GPU Scaling must be ON.

    My setup with Custom Resolutions:

Thanks for the reply but all those numbers mean nothing to me sorry. I think that looking at it I might see how it works but i'm not too sure.

Example of settings used for my setup.
    D.Port FreeSync H=30-115 V=48-70 (Changed V to 'accommodate' for FS 30-75)

Hey OnnA, I'm thinking about switching out my NVIDIA GPU for an AMD one when the new ones launch later this year(?).

I'd like to keep my monitor, which doesn't support Freesync (but it does have a GSync module). Do you think it should be possible to enable Freesync on this monitor with CRU?

    The monitor in question is 3440 x 1440, 120hz.

I also read elsewhere that only HDMI is supported by CRU for Freesync? Is that still the case? I can see that you're using display port above. HDMI on my monitor is version 1.4, so I would need to use DP to get full resolution / refresh rate.

    The monitor in question:

    ^^ Hard to tell TBF.
Theoretically it's possible, by a Hack that GPU 'get' this monitor as FS one (read - set in CRU).
Best advise? Borrow ATI GPU from a friend and check it out.
