What issues exactly? I'd love a technical discussion.

oi!!! what issues? the only issue with cf here is that I can't run frame pacing and vsync both on in bf4. apart from that, cf is mega and scales way better than sli.

Benchmarks were fine but gaming I got alot of hitching skipped frames and very bad frametime latency

Well, enjoy your stay on the green side, although I've never had nVidia SLI, I've used a SLI rig quite a bit recently and I didn't see any of that difference your talking about. But that doesn't matter here anymore. Enjoy your 780ti SLI :)

AFAIK the frametime fix is for dx 11 games only. did you test an dx 9 or 10 games?

The original article of PC perspective showed that the frame time fix drivers for ATI cards worked nicely for DX11 games with two gpus. However, there are still problems left for three gpus and DX9 games. So far I haven't seen the good reviews about frame time issues for triple and quad crossfire setup for R9 290(X) cards yet. But I wouldn't bother three (or four) gpu setups for crossfire at this moment.

In my understandings the assessment of multi-gpu setup based on benchmark test (frame rate counting) needs to be approached cautiously since the frame rate is counted for both real frames and fictitious frames (due to frame time issues). In this sense I am not really sure if crossfire scales better than SLI or not.

Welcome back. Your original mistake though was purchasing Gigabyte cards. I've literally never owned one that wasn't defective, and I think Eclap has had the same issue.

Not related, Frame Pacing does not reduce FPS so CrossFire scaling is real.
