well..... Crysis has soft particles.... which is quite obviously something Call of Duty 4 is lacking. Granted it is a fun game to play, and it does look good, just as almost every Call of Duty game released compared to other games released around it's release time..... but i'd RATHER have a game that stretches everything to it's limits. As i said in a previous post..... Playing Call of Duty 4 with everything maxed at 1920x1200...... and not a freakin hiccup. Which basically means this game will only be a framerate race from this point forward when new hardware is released. Crysis, on the other hand, has a bit of overhead with improving graphics and faster framerates as hardware progresses, and also has the option to support more aspects of DirectX 10 as the hardware starts to appear, such as DirectX 10.1.
Im half way through it @ the mo and its another fine addition to the COD games! the only grumble i have is that there are no vehicles to use in this one, except the gunner cam which is wicked fun!!

well i don't know...the demo to me didn't look great at all...but those screens posted above look awesome. maybe it was just the demo
this game looks incredible and plays incredible for how it looks on a variety of setups.. and is reasonably bug free compared to other current releases.. anyone who says this game doesn't look good is just blind or retarded.. for real.
beat the game in about 5-6 hrs...best ending ever.... make sure to watch all the way thru the credits to the very end.
i purchased the game an hour ago and played for a bit.. COD4 is one of the best games this year and it beats COD2 hands down, graphics aren't everything and sure a few texture look consoley (ocean looked crap) but otherwise the rest of the graphics while not exactly next-gen they are great! will go back to play it in a couple of hours got a few things to do. love Cod4.
COD4, is easily the best game I have ever played. Stunning Graphics, Stunning Sound, Stunning AI, Stunning Storyline. Welldone to Infinity Ward and Activision, you made me very happy.
I keep getting crashes as it is loading the level "War Pig" it just stops and says iw3sp.exe has stopped working. Dont tell me to google it because I cannot find anything! Anyone else having this problem?
yes, Vista is known to give this error i heard from a buddy with vista64 installed when switched to XP SP2 everything worked ok.

Yay got my copy today, only 6 hrs till out of work then another 4 hrs of "Family Time" before I can play..... Wow that bummed me out :cry: And this game looks fantastic, COD has always had other games in gameplay IMO, yes it has been linear but the game just drew you in. (I didnt like CoD2 as much but it was still decent I finished it anyway). *watches the clock.........tick................tock............tick............tock*
