Call of Duty Modern Warfare

Any idea why the game keeps crashing on me when I try to enter the graphics options?
I can change all other options, but as soon as I enter the graphics options the game will freeze and give me an error message.
This started happening (I must admit I haven't checked in a while) after I swapped my 1080Ti for a 3080. Same driver version, same settings...

 

I had this after an update. Go into your documents and delete or move the players folder.

You will have to re do all settings and keybinds though

 

Thanks. I did that, but the problem persists. Uninstalled the game, downloaded again, problem persists.
It works flawlessly in BO:CW, but Moder Warfare is testing me...

 

delete the /main/*.dcache files

 

I deleted the whole folder when I uninstalled the game, so...

Last night I found a solution though: For whatever reason, MW only reacted normally again after I *also* deleted the player folder of BO:CW... which ran normally and should be a different game. But who am I to judge

 

I dunno why i was using the allow setting in nvdia cp , now after applying the clamp setting on the global cp profile and using the performance option on texture quality along with the gsync enabled on the monitor and in cp my game looks smoother than ever with much better quality , i didn t know that my LG24gm79b supports gsync while it is a freesync one, good news
Using latest 461 driver

 

clamp setting doesn't affect d3d.

the performance setting skews towards a positive lod though.

 

My game.is a lot smoother after installing 461 driver i noticed that g sync now is working actually as of before it was just there for show

 

Anyone still running Reshade? After I solved my recent disaster I wasn't able to make it run normally anymore. I get strong color banding / low resolution whatever from it even if I don't load a single filter.

 

Reshade is funky in this game.

I've resorted to just using the GeForce experience thing to sharpen and darkent he shadows ever to slightly. Works fine for me.

 

Thanks, I just tried the same. It works I can't remember whether the Reshade version looked better or not (I suppose?), but as it doesn't work anymore I won't bother for now.
I'm still curious how this came together. Still works fine with the new driver/card in Cold War...

 

why the F*** every 2 days, this game has to have a 250mb update , i fail to understand, and nothing changes....???? wtf

 

My theory is that they change something in the client a few times per week to try and break any hacks.

 

Looks like it also happens to Black Ops Cold War, i noticed these 250mb updates too.

Can't wait for the next COD game, i loved MW so much... it feels like it has more players too.
Queue times are much slower on Cold War.

And i miss Ground War, Cold War's version doesn't cut it for me..

 

its for store updates, so if you see someone in a new skin or if you buy it you don't have to download it.

 

Which is more active in multiplayer, this or Black Ops Cold War?

 

Guys anyone have this problem/ bug in game that u can hear sometimes the ingame chat in miultiplayer and in warzone, but i have a problem to hear my team everytime in plunder , and every other mode, is there a bug or i need to change somethinf?

 

Guys anyone getting this direct x error 6068 while playing warzone....i tried everything, the only thing working now is everything on low and borderless fullscreen and -d3d11 in launch options however im getting lower fps because of dx11..but i don t know if this is a permanent fix....
