It would be nice if we could all be mature enough to admit that beta vs WHQL means nothing when talking about AMD drivers. In my case 14.4 onwards are horribly unstable on our 260X cards, yet the 14.2 beta that mostly works on our 260X cards makes our last generation HD7750 systems unstable(BSODs). It's really great that AMD can't be honest in release notes and admit known bugs, so every damn month it's another several weeks of fart arsing around making my users suffer experimenting to see if they've finally released something that is stable on the most basic level(computer is left on during the day for word processing, statistics and web browsing and doesn't tank the machine). If this release's unpublished undisclosed fixes that may or may not exist don't bring a modicum of stability back I'll end up writing off my losses and having to buy 160+ new NVIDIA cards to replace the 260x's I've deployed so far and call it quits on AMD for good.

Does it work with desktop gpus or is it just for embedded devices?

About 14.7rc3.... i'm still having issue with my tv, tv doesn't work with drivers since 14.4rc. The only positive thing is tv is not my main display but it would be nice to use it again. I have reported it already 3 or more times so they should be aware of issue.
    P.S.
It is samsung tv connected via hdmi cable to radeon hd7790@r7 260x 1GB.

    Huh. That's pretty messed up.
    Even CTRL-F5 doesn't make it appear. :-/
Oh well ... guess I'll just download from the google cache page.

Latest releases includes quite only prior fixes excluding a fix for one monitor AOC, the crossfire profile for plants vs zombie and so on. Latest 3 drivers are the same drivers for 95% of users...

I hope this isn't the release note, it's the same of 14.7 rc1

Not necessarily related to these drivers, but the issues I mentioned were fixed :)

That's the fun of bleeding-edge drivers... Get the latest things, but stuff can break. Couldn't do casual web browsing on my desktop for about two days.

really disappointed... these are improvements from 14.6 beta, 14.6 rc2, 14.7rc1, 14.7rc3... (note that 14.6rc2 and 14.7rc1 are the same drivers, same release note because i think that 14.6rc2 are not "officially" released)

The AMD Catalyst 14.6 Beta driver is notable release for us for a couple reasons:

Mantle is now enabled for notebooks based on AMD Enduro technology
Mixed-resolution AMD Eyefinity configurations are now supported for SLS
    Performance improvements for Watch Dogs
Performance improvements for Murdered: Soul Suspect

AMD CrossFire™ and AMD Radeon™ Dual Graphics profile update for Plants vs. Zombies
Collaboration with AOC has identified non-standard display timings as the root cause of 60Hz SST flickering exhibited by the AOC U2868PQU panel on certain AMD Radeon™ graphics cards. A software workaround has been implemented in AMD Catalyst 14.7 RC driver to resolve the display timing issues with this display.
Users are further encouraged to obtain newer display firmware from AOC that will resolve flickering at its origin.
Users are additionally advised to utilize DisplayPort-certified cables to ensure the integrity of the DisplayPort data connection.

    4 driver releases

single gpu improvements only 3 games: watch dogs, plants vs zombie, wildstar, lichdom (.................)

multigpu improvements: grid autosport, watch dogs, bf hardline, plants vs zombie, lichdom (................)

    new features:

    mantle on enduro
    mixed resolution eye infinity

    fix:

    aoc monitor
    4k compatibility
    ________________________________________________________

i had first radeon 256, r8500, r9700, r9800aiw, r4850, r4870x2, r5970, 2x6950, 2x7970, r290x... so i could be an "amd fanboy"... but 4 f...king months to do nothing especially for single gpu users isn't acceptable. What are they doing? Custom resolution? Better OGL support? Black screen fix for many r290 users (even if the problems it's in the bios...) Better performance? Better Mantle support for first gcn gen? Many optimization for single gpu games? :3eyes:

it's funny, now i'm reading the news on guru 3d, the release note are the sum of 3 latest release note.... nothing to write so to fill a release note re-copy of the old ones..... :puke2:

would you like to bet next month 14.8 whql are the 14.7rc3 with whql certification and nothing more? -.-'
