You just reveal yourself as a hater, can you even post everything in one comment? Stop flamming the thread please. And instead of calling me aggressive when I'm clearly not, focus on your words

I think maturity is lost on some people on this forum.

CongressBeta - there's no point posting in this thread anymore. It's just filled with kids and sheep who can't think for themselves. I tried offering feedback and advice before and the clueless mob just leap on and call 'hater' or 'troll'.

There is much better progress going on in the other mod threads now anyway. I think this one is most likely done.

I won't use it, half of the people that were on here won't use now that you have revealed yourself as a jerk and a fraud. The others have made more progress so I will go there and I will make sure every youtuber who promoted your mod reads this thread. So goodbye. Have a nice life my friend.

    Very nice!

And I've used 4xtxaa for the screenshots, with no sweetfx applied.

In that image (the 4th one) I noticed the headlight shadows are still sharp, I have some questions about it:

-How is the progress on the alternate headlight shadows, the "soft" versions?
-Were the softer shadows glitched or not working well in your testing?
-If they are glitchy in testing I understand, but could you be kind enough to release an option to use the glitchy "soft" headlight shadows please?
-If you can't have time to release a beta with soft shadows, please tell us how we can do it! I would like to learn how to apply the softer headlight shadows within the patch.dat

I'm really hoping for them to match the "soft" environmental shadows in the rest of the game. =) Thanks.

I think that the other guys out there just tweak a couple things to look better and they realy do a good work , BUT the diference whit TheWorse is that he see (as a moder) the whole word, enviorement, weather, lighting as a one big thing and make notaceable changes on the details, cause the direct changes we saw already on the later releases....

Sorry for my english i hope you understan what i'm traing to say.....

There is no progress on the soft shadows for headlights, if I have to do soft shadows, the amount of objects that cast shadows from them, will be really reduced and look unrealistic.

It's not possible to make it work correctly.

And everything of this is mostly because the soft shadows are controlled by the engine it self. The shadows casted from the headlights are the same of the spotlight police. They've used a basic technique for that.

Yes, I understand what you say. But if people see more improvement on changing the colorgrading settings, its ok. I don't care.

Awesome! Very informative description. Thank you for helping me to understand this.

So my question now is, is it possible to apply the shadows casted from the headlights to be the same as those from a street lamplight? Hmm... I dont know if it's possible. But once again, I'm only thinking of "possible ideas" to make the headlight shadows match the ones in the lucky quinn cutscene. You know which cutscene I'm talking about right, where Aiden drives up the dark alley and Quinn and his guard have soft shadows from the headlights, that is my point of reference.

Thank you again for all the help in understanding these effects, bro. =)

The games programming was pretty lazy, I mean Aidan's running animation was even recycled from Assassin's Creed, and don't get me started on the fact he cant jump lol. In some regards there's only so much you can do. Otherwise as a whole it looks like a good update, the headlights don't look noticeably distracting or anything.
