Not that I use need sli obviously, but nice to see a game launching with it, pre launch even.

Some of the screens look really good, very impressive for an open world game.
The lack of pom one...not so much, the scene loses a lot without it.

Hopefully it's something that can be enabled when the game launches properly, but considering everyone is either playing version 1.0 or a pirated copy there seems to be very few complaints compared to every other PC game these days.

The lack of triple buffering is silly though, do they object to it for some reason?

Those shots were max settings of course, it's undeniable that some high-end features have been put on the sideline compared to earliest showings.

Still a good looking game in my book but next-gen ? Hum...Nope.

 

You might not want want to complain about tech when you couldn't spot the difference between low res textures and AF lol.

Sick of hearing about this ”next gen” crap anyway, nothing looks like a huge upgrade so far, it's just the new buzz word for console fanboys.

I can run smooth here.. i7 + 670 OC ... on high (textures).. well, what about this line in GamerProfile.xml (doc\mygames\watchdogs) ? RAWCPUScore="1610.41" (mine) ... can u guys report urs ?

I won't have the game until the 27th but I think I will have to tone down the texture setting and the LOD to high to achieve 50-60fps at 1080p.
Maybe the shadows too.

Amazon.uk (even though I live in France) because I simply cannot stand the beyond retarded French dubbing. I absolutely need the original English voices to enjoy a story driven game.

However, a few stores near my location have broken the street date and they are not the sleezy type. I could cancel my preorder and get the game right now but I can wait a few more days.

You should get your key very shortly, from my experience GMG sends the key 24 hours before the official release or even sooner.

 

I might try reinstalling this to a second HDD.. 337.81 made a hellva difference now that SLI is scaling great but only with FPS.

The hitching though is killing me. It's as if it can't read the textures fast enough off the drive.. I'm only running high. 50-60FPS but hitching every time my darn HDD lights up.

That's good to know. That said, here are some pretty nice screenshots I saw on NeoGaf of Ultra settings. Game looks very nice to me. And it will look better when running the actual game:

How much system memory do you have? If your HDD is lighting up, it's because the game is making a page call to the HDD for data. Usually getting more system memory would get rid of that, or at least significantly mitigate it.

And are you using ultra quality for textures? If your GTX 680 has 2GB of VRAM, then that would increase the amount of paging as you need 3GB of VRAM for ultra textures..

 

Indeed Carfax those are very nice screens, the textures in the second shot are nicely detailed but I'm surprised the game doesn't apply 16xAF by default. :3eyes:

The lack of AF really sticks out like a sore thumb, thankfully it can be forced in the driver panel.
