I noticed the "heat haze" effect when I tried it too, and wasn't sure whether that's exactly what it was. I wonder whether that's just an artifact of nanite? The clusters shifting in and out....?
Source Let's see what improvements Epic will announce for UE5. Maybe a way to finally fix the stuttering issues.....
The Matrix demo is now available for download on PC (93GB) https://unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/learn/city-sample
Sony loves to brandish "only on playstation" in every way imaginable, games contracted for marketing promotion have to remove mentions of any other platform in their materials. Most notable cases being No Mans Sky and Nier Automata. With first one Sean Murray literally said "if you don't hear about a game being available on other platforms, that's because of Sony". Nier Automata accidentally uploaded on squares journalist media page trailers with both steam and sony logos which got pulled after an hour or so and uploaded versions with just sony logos. They LOVE to create vision of exclusivity and advantage by borderline misinformation. I've never understood why Tim Sweeney hopped onto PS5 bandwagon so hard, i understand that consoles being most stable and accessible variants of hardware essentially drive technology development on generation by generation basis but in essence, in comparison to PC they're already dated at launch.
Yeah i remember when Kojima mentioned PC version of DS right after the 1st teaser was out in E3 or something, then he never mentioned it ever again until it was out, same with Returnal which is coming to PC but Sony stopped the studio from talking about PC version early last year
I remeber that too. I searched youtube like crazy for that video again and never found it. Though, I saw it live when announced.
Any interiors of buildings in City Sample? Not expecting it but thought I'd ask for pc or console players. I'm still downloading it on a pc and trying to research ways to speed up the Epic launcher download. edit - Although I notice the download progress bar in the Win 10 taskbar at the bottom of the screen shows far more progress than the progress bar in the launcher, which looks like a good sign. Did some searching about the interiors too if any but didn't really find it yet. Either way it seems like it should be something like exploring a greatly improved GTA5 or CP2077 city as far as graphics such as level of detail. Not saying it will be better in overall art design but if it is then great, but that gets into personal preference.
Nvidia stopped the partnership with UE? https://twitter.com/NVIDIAGameDev/status/1511361175941877760 Edit: Nevermind, lol.
Latest, not last. Just read what's on the top of the article if you click on the link: "NVIDIA has supported Unreal Engine 4 throughout its eight-year run — that continues with today’s debut of Unreal Engine 5." It would be suicidal to jump off the train right now...
This should answer your question. https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/programs/nvidia-edge?lang=en_US&state=/5.0/en-US/unreal-engine-programming-and-scripting/
Market of Light which uses UE5 is playable and has lots of shiny things. Came out about 6 months ago I think so you may have played it.
I don't really spend much time playing games. Normally just to get ideas or something. UE5 is more streamlined and offers much improved performance over UE4. So we should start to see some impressive games over the coming months.
