First two default windowed settings from v2 benchmark that was released for linux, 64-bit and 32-bit versions. Third is trying to replicate the settings others have used, seems to decrease performance :S Ubuntu 9.10 AMD64. The CPU does run at 3GHz, just when starting the demo it's idle at 1GHz. I should probably benchmark it on windows 7 later if I remember, get some comparisons going.
wow i didn't know v2.0 is out well i'm still using 1.0 at 1920 x 1200 dx11 and running the bench with all settings at default
This is odd. Where are most of the benchers here using non dx11 hardware? Where are all the dx11 peeps? Even have ppl with 9800 gtx users. 3 generations back.
hey how did u get those screen shots? For me it was with great difficulty, i press alt-enter than print screen and then tried it a few times with alt tab before i could open up paint and paste the screen shot, that was with ver 1.0 and i think it's not possible for ver 2.0 cos I actually ran the bench v2.0 a few times afterwards but couldn't successfully post up the screen shot, hence wasted my time.
you should try and use dx11 hardware cos with tessellation enabled it lowers down the score considerably. I ran the bench with extreme tess too.
Here is mine with extreme tesslleation and antisopy at 16x. 1920 x 1200 Actually the default for af is 4x and not 16x and i guess it's better to standardize everything so that comparisons are more accurate and yes i didn't follow the defaults cos i wanted to see how my system fared under extreme settings
Changing Tessellation from Normal to moderate seems to get slightly better results. 5850 non overclocked.
I decided to set everything to the max to try it out. 8xAA, tessellation extreme and 16x AF at 1920 x 1200 res Probably faster than some ppl with no tess and lower res
