thought they were going to have a driver release by the 1st of August

given the fact, I have quad sli, these betas don't work for me. #01.42 still, far and away , the best driver for quad 690 and there is plenty of room for improvement. Playing Crysis 2 at 75% capacity cuts my FPS accordingly. There are two games I'm playing now, close to 95% efficiency-Unreal Tournament 3 and Alan Wake. BF#3 has issues, I can't even loadDeus ex Revolution and Crysis and Crysis Warhead are either not loading or poor per card usage. I need a new driver that addresses multi monitor gaming on a quad!

Disable Cpu core parking and see If that gives a little boost.

 

To be honest mostly anyone that wanted GW2 pre-purchased and will have access in 12 hours.

Nvidia really dropped the ball here. No drivers for headstart means I'm just not going to play with the miserable performance I'm getting.

Two dates delayed. No word from ManuelG. No forum. No signs of drivers.

Lol, they would say that. i want a new driver for GW2. i bet amd will have a new driver with GW2 optimizations first.

 

TBH I'm a bit skeptic (actually alot ) about huge wide performance gains

So I would expect gains in few titles which currently lack optimizations, and then maybe some.

But you never know, maybe I get surprised.

YES - GW2 is on the todo list. Whining to arenanet about CPU utilization may help also

 

They already did.

My gf has a 7950 and gets better frames than my GTX 680 in GW2. Not just a tiny difference but a ton. I'm at 29-35 frames in semi-big fights and she's around 50.

ArenaNet has A LOT of optimization to do on the performance front that's for sure.

 

Hopefully that's true, I've been pretty underwhelmed by my GTX 680.

guys, Anet and nvidia worked together so GW2 has all the support for sli already ready, just no 100% triple monitor support, I cant even get my fps down from 60 and i have 2650x1600

 

Don't know how you have managed that...

What driver version you using?

my SLi 680's are lucky to get 60 FPS @ 1920x1080

 

Yah you don't need a new driver for GW2, SLI works fine with GTX 580 at 1900x1200 i go from 60-80fps. Depending on if i WvW it drops some, but it uses both cards perfectly.

 

Yeah with NVIDIA "soon" seems to equal several months.

 

The way I look at it, the more time Nvidia takes with the driver, the better it will likely turn out.

 

Got no problems here with the 304.79's, i don't play the very latest games though.

304.79 is fine for normal gaming conditions
