I've been reading abaout a temp bug in some of the nVidia drivers - i have 71.84 (from nVidia website). The temp bug, is it in this driver ass well, or what - and what does the bug do - high or low temps ??

Yes the temp bug exsists in all the 7x.xx drivers apart from 76.41 (beta). The temps show to high, possibly by as much as 10 degrees (or more)

No that doesn't sound to bad. It would be nice to know how much difference the 76.41's would make to those temps :)

Its the temp bug and they normally and supoosed to run at around 65c idle.

This is the norm for eVGA 6800GT PCI-E

nVidia knows and even admitted in having a 20% increase in some cards reading wrong temps so i know for a fact im ok. :)

    not for everybody...
unless they just have poor cooling.

but me, 76.41 XG dont have the temp bug.

    54c idle
    76c max using RTHIBRL

I've MSI NX6600GT VTD 128... I can put my hand on card and temperature is not that high, never too heat to prevent putting my fingers on it...

But at idle, temperature the driver show is 55, 78 in charge... is my card affected by temperature bug too ?

I get same temperature with 76.41

FrancoisH - 55 idle to 78 load, is it me or does that sound like quite a jump? (Possible case air flow problems?)

Open or closed box, don't change anything.

And I would say again that I can put my fingers on any part of the card, even at full charge... So there's no great overheat...

Isn't that sound like the temp bug all of you speak about ??
