if you hold the base not the fins it come out perfect they are tricky but its good to have fans that can be cleaned easy

After 5 years away from enthusiast computing, I'm finally back and I gotta say, I envy your rigs! Great job guys!

That´s a sick rig but... that foam cover on the Xfire bridge ruins it for me. What's wrong with the bridge's standard look?

That is a clean setup for the parents! I wish my parents knew how to use a PC :(

Here is the start of a new project for me. I was given a dead ancient PC, with a dead PSU, dead motherboard, etc. The case is originally an Antec NSK1380, but I have stripped it of everything and I realize that it will be perfect for my mini PC project. I will be making custom mesh or clear panels, new front panel, new lit power button, hard drive activity lights, power on light, and trying to cable manage somehow or I will make a metal mesh enclosure in there to hide the wires if there is room. This case will either be mines or my roomies for the rebuild/upgrade I am doing for him.

Not only that, but the guy who gave it to me also paints low rider/custom cars and is wanting to get into custom painted "other things". He could be painting this case for me, but first, he will be painting my GTX470 cover over the weekend to see if its doable with his car paint. If all goes well, he could be doing custom paint work for PC's in the same place for more business.

*Did some measurements a while ago on the case, and this is going to take some Tetris magic to fit a modern size GPU. Will probably use a slim DVD drive if I am running out of space.

cous i cant fit 1 large 200mm fan anymore their unless i put it on otherside which looks ugly tbh.

anyway 2 120mm fans are better then 1 200mm fan as far i'm aware anyway so.

Sounds very promising! Can we expect a project log any time soon? :)

please don't mind the cable mess, case is just to small to make it really work. GTX260 is a beast compared to the old 8800gs

I can. I have never made a log, but I guess I can for this one since I am trying to make most of it from scratch for once.

On a side note, I am still messing around with my GTX470. I took off the GPU fan to see if it helped temps any. Both sides where the GPU fan is located gets extreamly HOT. I am thinking I can attach more heatsinks to that flat area because mosfets are right under it. I dont think rectangle RAM heatsinks are going to be much help here, I want something bigger. Maybe a northbridge heatsink there if I can find one to fill up most of the space.
Temps are only a few degrees higher without the fan, that means 87-90*C compared to 85*C with the fan on at 50% and overclocked. Not overclocked, its super cool at 75*C on load :)
