ReShade - Advanced post-processing everywhere (SweetFX)

    Would be great to see in the upcoming SweetFX release(s):

    - SMAA T2X and S2X support
    - Local Contrast Enhancement
    - Fast SSAO with good IQ
    - Parallax Occlusion Mapping (if possible at all)
    - Dynamic Godrays with sun detection
    - HQ Bloom with accurate light scattering
    - Any improvements to LumaSharpen and Curves are always good to have
    - Further performance optimizations :)

    CeeJay - are there any issues with using a different version of SweetFX 2.0 Preview with non-packaged version of Reshade? I ask because I find in a game I play, Smite, that I get some instability when using version 15/15.1 of Reshade but not with v14. Obviously I'd like to use as new a version of SweetFX as possible to get the performance improvements you have been working on!

    Worked fine here with ReShade 0.15.0 and SweetFx preview 5 when I last tried the game.

    How does one use SweetFX with games running under UE4? I've been trying getting it working with the Unreal Tournament Pre-Alpha, I can't get it to work.

    I extracted SweetFX 1.5 Boulotaur2024's Injector into: F:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\UnrealTournamentDev\Engine\Binaries\Win64

    Where supposedly the game exe is located, but game refuses to start with the 64bit dll's :( :( :(

    Help is appreciated!

    I guess this is important enough to need a post here.

    With preview 6 and preview 7 I was getting various compile errors, tried finding out what it could be via the log file but got nowhere so I basically ripped apart SweetFX_settings.txt and Global_settings.txt and when that didn't work I also started cutting out parts of sweet.fx

    Eventually I got the compiler error to show success instead of failed and I then narrowed it down to this part in sweet.fx

    If I remove that the shaders compile and everything works, I don't know why this bugs out or even what this actually does besides telling ReShade what screenshot format to use.

    EDIT: Just removing "else" is enough to make it work, which probably breaks things so removing one of those two (I use BMP so I removed the PNG option.) is probably better.

    Still no idea why it happens, I can't see anything that could break the shader but somehow it does break.


    This is what the log file keeps spamming when it throws that shader compile failure error.

    It should say "#else" instead of "else" there. The fact that ReShade doesn't produce an "syntax error: unexpected else" here is bad, I'll fix that for the next update.

    Ah I think I understand then why it broke, come to think of it shouldn't everyone using the current preview 7 release have gotten this error then?
    (EDIT: Or perhaps am I the only person so far who re-adjusted the global settings txt from PNG to BMP thus causing this to manifest?)

    EDIT: Adding back the # did indeed solve the error. :)
    (I'm pretty terrible with code and scripting so I'm glad it was a relatively easy fix.)

    It only happens when you change the screenshot format to BMP, because the whole part is skipped by the preprocessor otherwise.

    I've fixed that #else issue, but I don't feel I have enough just yet for another build.
    I'm currently working on performance optimizing SMAA.

    Hi! First of all one more great thanks for SweetFX, i just can't imagine a lot of games without it.
    Sadly i had encountered a rare crash in Fallout 3 with SFX 1.5.1 (not modded). Here is the "log.log"

    SweetFX/Shaders/Main.h(190,104): warning X3571: pow(f, e) will not work for negative f, use abs(f) or conditionally handle negative values if you expect them
    It is hard to reproduce and it's not critical for me, just wonder what it is.
    BTW i don't use much of effects mods, just bunch of texture mods, DoF and using DSR by nvidia.

    SweetFX and Star Trek Online

    Has anyone gotten STO to work with SweetFX?

    I see some old guides with settings... but when I try SweetFX the game loads up with a black screen. The cursor is animated (software?) and you can hear in game sounds.... but all I see is a black screen and the cursor.

    I know STO is a 32bit game.

    I've come here seeking help and hopes someone can do just that.

    I was playing Dragon Age: Inquisition on my old PC. Had Windows 8.1 and an Nvidia Card. I load up RadeonPro and would run SweetFX through that. Had a few hiccups here and there, but nothing that could not be fixed.

    Now I play on a new PC and I cannot get SweetFX to run at all. I have tried every version you can think of by using RadeonPro or just directly into in the game's exe.

    I get the SweetFx On/Off but nothing applies.

    Yes, everything is up to date.

    No I did not put the files in the wrong place.

    I am at a dead end here. I do not know what else to do.
