Yes, I was aware of the hdmi/dp limitations of the Fury. At that time I had a monitor that worked best through DVI and knew that once I upgraded my monitor I may need a new card. Vega and R7 didn't interest me at that time. Furthermore, I didn't (at that time) find a monitor worth upgrading to (way to many 1080p and TN variants). So I didn't thing of a new cards.

Now that I finally found a monitor I want. I want to compliment it with a good gpu.

Do I wish older cards had cutting edge hdmi dp support back then? Sure, but I don't regret my purchase. It simply wasn't a technology I was using at the time.

After owning two Fury's, two Vega 64's and two Radeon VII's...I am seriously thinking about switching teams...

AMD “will consider adding support” for RIS on Vega, but has no plans to right now

“AMD will gauge end user reception and demand for Radeon Image Sharpening,” says AMD in response to our questions about future Vega support, “and will consider adding support for additional Radeon RX graphics cards in the future.”

    Edit:
Just read an reddit post by AMD stating that you have to "Vote" for it. Here is how:
    -Start Radeon Settings
-Look in the upper right corner of Radeon Settings
    -Click on the "star"
-That "star" is a link to AMD's website to vote on what features you want next. RIS is one of them.

Well, sadly enough, X40, X50 and X60 cards were/are considered as office/HTPC cards, not gaming ones. :)

Well, I ditched Netflix because I find it to be mostly garbage, now, anyways, after about 9 years of streaming from it. That said, I have a Vega 56 reference with a 64 bios flashed to it, hooked up to a 1080p 144hz Freesync MSI VA Panel monitor and it runs extremely well with high fps. I have an RX 5700 reference in another computer connected to the 1440p of the MSI monitor and it works great as well.

Vega's are just fine and will be running for a few more years, at least. :) There is not ram limitation either, like the Fury 4GB issue became, sort of. Also, this 19.9.2 driver appears to be working just fine with my Vega 56 :)

I do not agree at all with this statement. If you can get a Vega 56 for around $200 to $225 or so, I would go for that over a $349 RX 5700, if you can afford only one card and nothing more. Also, my Vega 56 with the 64 bios ran great at Highest settings for Shadow of the Tomb Raider and using VSR at 1440p, with Freesync enabled. :)

Rx5700 can be had below the price. I've seen 329$ for a reference version. Vega cards perform admirably yes but you see how amd starting to neglect them. All focus is on Navi.
