artifacts, this driver busts the ram voltages/freq, try to frie (stay old and safe 20.4 so)
this driver reminds me something....get ready for the fireworks at the end of the year !! at christmas under the tree put a new card

run after the drivers (it's new),

AC: Valhalla performance is down almost 10% compared to 20.11.3.

 

I am getting black screens on windows (gaming is flawless) since september with my RX580, really dont know what to do since I've reinstalled windows several times and tried different drivers (every driver on a clean windows install) any recommendation to check?

Edit, DDU and installed 20.4.2, everything seems OK, no more black screens or lines on display, fingers crossed.

Edit #2 Card is gone, black screens are more and more frequent and last longer, hope seller honors warranty

 

Can you please try it again with 20.11.3? Game got new patch recently, which could decrease performance.

I did try with the new patch (1.1.0). 20.11.3 performs much better than 20.12.1.

 

Thanks but once again, my card and/or PSU works well. With any game/bench/software. I only have problems with post 20.11.1 drivers in Valhalla. Resolving once in go back to these drivers. Not a hardware problem. @SpajdrEX i posted on AMD forum too, a few other Vega users have same problem. (Freezes/crashes in Valhalla with any drivers After 20.11.1.) Any Idea? Are you aware of a problem? Thanks!

 

Yeah with the patch 1.1.0 ACV has lost about 5fps average but it is not the video drivers it is the game

 

Having some flatline crashes with cyberpunk and these drivers going back to 20.9.1 fixes the issue. I isnt just cyberpunk but many other games. Dmc5 ultimate also crashes fro me yesterday. Card is overclocked to 1450mhz but i dont think thats an issue.

 

Patch 1.1.0 of AC Valhalla improved my 0.1% and 1% lows by about ~5%, my average FPS stayed the same. 20.12.1 killed my ACV 1.1.0 performance by almost ~10%, going back to 20.11.3 fixed it.

 

I cannot confirm any instabilities in CP2077.. running 20.12.1 on my 6900xt (and I was also running 20.11.3 on the 6800xt) and the game was buggy, but (except dynamic CAS) else -- rock solid... Stayed in the game 3x 2 hours without any problems.

 

Cyberpunk 2077 running fine here on RX580, maybe you have pirated version.

Your statement makes no sense. Anyhow you using latest drivers? How many hours your into the game and is the card stock or overclocked?

 

I will perform some more tests on the weekend and will report back, but for now -- even with a mild OC of 6900XT -- no instabilities.

 

Rdna2 seems much more stable than rdna1 i do believe you have no issues but i've seen vega and as Im reporting myself polaris have some instabilities and crashes in games with anything newer than 20.9.1.

 

Last AC: Valhalla patch didn't degrade performance for me, maybe even improved it( within margin or error, +2fps, better lows in bench). But i'm still stuck with 20.11.1 drivers...

 

Hi Krevar, does it crashes only at specific places or randomly everywhere?

 

Anything worthwhile in this version compared to 20.4.2? RX 580 over here.

 

Why are you against reading the official patch notes? Seems odd...
Also, there have been many releases between the two...
