    This:

lolz one day we will be able to hit those speeds.

Also I really cannot believe how many of you missed the fact that HE IS NOT SELLING THE QX9770, it was a gift.

actually ,.just about all good ocz memory is 2.1v , whether its 800@4-4-3 / 4-4-4 / 5-4-4, 900@4-5-4 or 1066@5-5-5 sticks. so i wouldnt worry about that, 2.1v is completely fine, ocz warranty covers up to higher even. and i doubt youll need to raise it from that value once set anyway even if you overclock your memory frequency.

have you considered a DDR3 board? gigabyte has P45's that use a DDR3 memory controller.

but , if your not doin ddr3 ,you have a QX@1600fsb out of the box, your gonna want more memory bandwidth for gaming. just get the Reaper 1066 instead of Reaper 800. mushkin XP 1066, and corsair Dominator 1066 would also be good choices with good support.

for a case, look at the coolermaster cosmos S, or stacker 830/832.id recommend to try to stick to full towers , youll be happier in the end.

I think they hit 5.5GHz with liquid nitrogen.

    Thanks for the advice.

Nah I really don't want to do DDR3, the performance gain just isn't worth it.
Luckily, I have the unlocked multiplier, so the memory honestly doesn't have to be the best at overclocking, it won't hold my processor back. I would rather have lower latency than higher bandwidth personally.

6.1GHz on liquid nitrogen is a bit of letdown, I was kinda expecting i7s to OC more than 45nm C2Ds. Considering C2Ds can reach 4.5-4.6GHz on air, 6.1 on Santa pee doesn't sound so great.

You live in Canada. You don't need liquid nitrogen. You have arctic air.
