Hi all I have just bought an ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX580 TOP edition 8GB graphics card, which has an 8-pin power socket. My PSU is the Corsair TX650M which only has 4-pin connectors. My question is, is it ok to use two 4-pin connectors in the 8-pin socket?
The 4+4 pin connector is the ATX12V connector, it's used for powering CPUs. Usually PCI-E power cables are either 6 pin, 8 pin or 6+2 pin. I looked up the manual for your PSU and it shows that you should have a 6+2pin connector and that you should have 2 of those cables. https://www.corsair.com/corsairmedia/sys_master/productcontent/TXM_Manual.pdf
