My $600 system OWNZ all. These scores are with 525/1050. I can easily get over 60k aquamark. Default settings 500/900 gets me 55k+ on aqua. http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?run=1159717753
Ive already got over 60k. I have 58k cause that's my daily oc 525/1050. Here's the 60k. http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?run=1428153046 Why haven't you upgraded your drivers? I think 76.10 would give you a boost, but I remember the 71.20, one of the best drivers yet, I might actually go back to it.
Just an information regarding my 6600GT. I got its memory clock up to 1220MHz . Never thought that my card would run stable with this frequency, its memory is "only" 2ns. But well, it did^^. Im sure theres more possible than 1220MHz, but Riva Tuner or the overclocking-tab in the forceware wont let me go higher. A popup tells me, that the test the progs run to test the new settings are not successful. Damnit^^...
3D MARK 03 => 7618 3D MARK 05 => 3404 6600 GT @ stock CPU @ Stock DDRam PC2100 overclocked to PC2700 speeds as U can see in my sig Laters
i did update them im using 76.41 rite now and 76.10 b4 but i benched on those 71.xx drivers b4 and i havent benched withe new drivers lately so... yea... you can try beating the 68K that sum1 got
I wonder if there is a performance difference between the pci-e and the agp. Besides the fact that most agp cards come stock with 900 memory versus the pci-e with 1000.
lol, my temp don't go higher than 60ºC at 600/1.180mhz all bench's and here in portugal we have a problem with the hot wheather (sorry for my bad english)
This may be true, but thats not the reason. Its simply cause Ati and nVidia wanna introduce PCI-E to the market, they wanna sell more PCI-E cards than APG-cards. So they said, lower the memory frequency to make PCI-E cards more attractive than AGP-cards. Simply marketing, guys.^^
But all the grafic card 6600GT AGP comes with the same chips 2.0ns that can clock 1ghz, i don't know why they don't clock at the referance frenquency, but i suspect that was Nvidia said, but XFX and other make carg at 1ghz memory. I know that Asus and gigabyte (i think) have card with 1.2ghz memory, but that's extreme edition AGP and PCI-x still green, wait for the AGP16x or better PCI-x
no.... agp version needs everything from pci-e version plus an extra bridge and power connector, so to even the costs, they lower memory speeds to keep same prices
when was gfx cards on pci-x???? pci-x is server boards only and is 64bit 133mhz vs 32bit 33mhz pci pci-EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE not x... lol
lol, sorry, but the last parts isnt true. The AGP-versions mostly use the same memory (2ns, some 1,6ns) as the PCI-E-cards, the memory is just underclocked to make AGP-cards look less attractive than their PCI-E-pendants. Same memory for the same price. I read what ive said in my last post in a german newspaper, so i really believe, its true.
