Ahhhh I had some damn good times with Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix online. Too bad PB banned me for cheating.
Agreed. By far the biggest on my priority list to get. Far more even that Crysis. UT will always offer something far superior to Crysis or any other game for that matter. Replay value.
Pretty much the same as every other online game then But anyway, there's only a handful of games from that list i'm interested in. Most look crap tbh. So it will be pretty much like any other year.
No way UT has always been unique, mainly due to the modding community, I still occassionly play UT 2004
LOL...........PC gaming will NEVER!!!!!!!!!! die!!!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHA LOL when im 57 years old, in 2040 im going to be playing with my 100 core cpu running at 50GHZ , intel core 100, with 100GB of ram, and nvidia 88000 gtXXX ULTRA x 10 with 300GB ...........LOL playing Counter Strike Future.
No you won't. A cpu cannot run faster than 10ghz. That is the frequency of light and nothing can run faster than light. And besides you will definitely need more ram than that exspecially considering that the GPU has 300gb so I would think you should be fine with a 1tb but you should get 2tb for future proofing.
In the year 2040 computers will be completely different from current architecture. Hell, if you have been watching the political arena you may have noticed that global warming/climate change is a major issue right now. By the year 2040 we will have noticed major changes to our climate if the world continues as is. Therefore if us superior beings are so smart, we will have developed new energy generation techniques. While generation of electricity is a major issue, so is the computer that draws 800-1200watts of power to drive x8 core CPU's and multple graphics cards. Anyway we will see. And no I am not an environmentalist - Yet I am not a mental either(I think)
Indeed PC gaming has advantages over consoles, you can upgrade, mouse and keyboard, internet/mods/updates/CRACKS/FULL GAMES. Thats what most like about PC, and I am sure most will not admit to the ultra demo of a full retail ISO torrent download. As long as us gamers still buy the games, PC gaming will never die. And consoles are great too. You can sit back on your lounge chair with one control and enjoy a quick game without a worry of Windows experiencing a blue screen due to some unforeseen memory/driver problem. While people can hook up their PC to a 42" Plasma (like mine) and use a wireless keyboard and mouse sitting in their lounge chair, it will take a new operating system to give better gaming performance and stability. And this is why developers(of games) should dump Microsoft, join forces, and create a operating system just for games. Call the DX10 equilivant TargetX10 or TX10 if you will. EDIT: While I may have a point about developers creating a universal platform for games on PC, hardware problems would still exist due to a vast diversity in hardware configurations. Therefore the developers would have to recommend certain configurations of brand hardware.
LOL, keep dreaming pal......in reality, no one has the time and money to invest in coding a whole new OS, micosoft isnt that bad, it works, its got its good and bad, just like everything in life. uke3:
PC gaming is at the worst it has been for ages, relative to console gaming anyway. Most of those games will see console releases and a lot of them will be better (or at least better suited) on the consoles. I don't think PC gaming is near death at this point, but this generation of consoles has closed the gap massively imo and software houses know console gaming is where the money is to be made. At least pretty much everyone gets to play all the decent games this generation though, that can only be a good thing for the average gamer.
