Nvidia Forceware 177.39 + NVIDIA physX 8.06.12

not sure, this is just a link to the 177.39 vista x64 driver, unconfirmed if this one is corrupted or not, i'm downloading it as i type this message, about 50% done

 

Strange question, everybody seems to be happy about this physx, but what is it all about ? I know that you could buy some extra pci card called physx, but what really drivers do ? Nvidia implemented this physx into g92 cards ? And how is it possible to enable it in 8800 series if its only supported in g92 ? one last question, 9800 series are supported in this drivers but why 9600 series isnt ? thx for answers

 

Enable g92 and not g94 , way to go nvid xD

EDIT: Ran 177.35 and 177.39 Vantage test wich gives me almost unoticable increase (mark gpu and cpu), but some decrease in the loos sections.

This Vista x64 177.39 driver is not corrupted
I try it and everything is OK.

 

nvidia has implemented into the g80 and higher GPU a hardware-based physics API called CUDA, it has just never been unlocked in drivers until now

If anyone got it to work in x64 or x32 with 9600GT please let me know how, cuz i installed the physx and 177.39 and cuda files but doesnt work.

To use the modded inf, copy and paste it into the extracted files and replace the DriverVer line with the following (DriverVer = 06/16/2008, 6.14.11.7739). I have tested this with Vista 32.

 

and is there any advantage for a game as rainbow six vegas 2 ? visual or fps ? or i'ts for futur games

Installed 177.39 perfectly on Vista x64. Used my own .inf.

 

So if its working with 8800 is has to work with 9600GT/GSO am i right ? And what is the real advantages, fps increase, smoother physics in game ?

 

It's grayed out here too, trying to find a solution but a no go for now.

- Vista 64bits

Does anyone know how to activate the Geforce PhysX acceleration?

 

It semse its working only with G92.

I installed these drivers on my 8600GT(G84) and also installed PhysX driver. In physX control panel, everything is grey, I can play demos but Geforce PhysX option is disabled
Finding the way to enable it.
