Deleting folder Cloth in APEX folder will give u 2x perfomance but all Physx effects still will be.

Just have Steam re-check the game files. Normally that helps.
The driver itself is great but doesn't help (at least me) the problems Mafia has. The benchmark still runs just like it did in the first demo version and at least for me, it does feel much like this in the game too. Jumpy framerate, stuttering here and there, nothing close to "fluid".

That 8800m GTX is catching up with its lifetime. Its only a 96 core notebook chip and it only runs at 500 mhz with a memory speed of 800 (doubled to 1600 mhz). i wouldnt go near PhysX on Mafia 2 with something like that. to run graphics and physx at the same time on one card, (especially Mafia 2 since it seems to be poorly implemented) you should have a 112 to 128 CUDA core card (at least for medium graphics settings). all maxed would need something like a gtx 260 and upwards.

But since its a notebook, your really limited.

Thanks for the advice! It helped to get my game running again! I ran the benchmark and I haven`t noticed any difference.... everything`s the same!

    Cheers!

True, but I just used my M15x as a comparison to my Big-Rig I usually play on, to show how bad Mafia 2 takes advantage of much better systems!
