    Every CPU architecture that uses a weak memory ordering has race conditions you have to program around.
    Of course we know what the issue is now, my point was arguing against "bad code can't cause crashes", which is absurd.

    It's been a really bad launch for them at this point, sure the FE cards are nice but where are they? I just hope everyone realizes that the best thing for us all is for big navi to have a great launch and be a great card.
    AMD kicked intels butt into action, if they do the same with nvidia it's a win for us all.
    Personally i'm totally put off 3090s and 10gb 3080s, nvidia needs to start pulling bunnies from hats if AMD launch big navi with big success.

    Maybe in the USA, not in Portugal. If the card works, we can't claim warranty.
    Plus, what else would I buy for 160€ past December? Navi was a failure in value (referring to 5500/5600 cards). RX 5500 is 250€ and less powerful (I think, sorry if I'm wrong) than my RX580, common AMD!

    Thats unfortunate but I'm not sure its legal.
    Portugal have been an EU member since 1986, even joining the Schengen zone in 1995.

    The same rules apply as in the UK (for now!).

    ps I was considering the issue that the card crashed at times.
    It could still happen with the updated driver without enough MLCC cap arrays installed if the bios allows high enough boost clocks.
    As this is a known issue, if your card doesnt have enough MLCC arrays you will by law be allowed to return the card.

    @Mufflore
    As I said, no card had a competitive price back in December. By undervolting and taking the OC off it's not crashing.
    Hopefully the small RDNA2 cards can be more competitive next year.

    You can claim on warranty for a few reasons, instability and not having enough arrays of MLCC caps.
    If you underclock rather than have a replacement card without the issue, thats your choice.
    (this assumes your card needs more MLCC arrays)

    I'm certain I can't claim such thing and I would have to pay much more for the same performance to buy another card.
