well i knew greece would win, thoug i thought portugal would atleast score a goal, but the good part is italy, germany, england, did not win this year. Great game greece. though i wish it were france whou woulda won, but you cant have everything can you?
greece deserved this, this is the first time they actually won at the euros, and it is the first time they won em. they played clean, unlike the italians *cough* and they play with teamwork, and passion for the game, thats why they won, and thats why they beat france, portugal, checks.
Pauleta was checking the sights. Damn stupid useless piece of player he was. He shouldn't even be playing the last 2 matches. Deco was sliping allover the match. He spent more time on the floor than playing it. Man, stupid sport this one. Anyway, we should party anyway, at least we got this far.
Abillo, I agree...you should be celebrating not only a good tourament for your country and the rest of Europe, but also the performance Portugal put throughout. I had them down as winners outright....but lady luck eh?
It was a very lucky Greece 1 -- Portugal 0 - 1 Greece (here Greece won because Portugal thought that Greeks was a piece of ****) 2 -- Spain 0 - 0 Greece (Even with Spain which has never played any good in my opinion, the MIGHTY GREECE couldn't win) 3 -- Greece 1 - 2 Russia (Here it goes Greece loses BUT LUCKILY it makes a goal 4 -- France 0 - 1 Greece (For me this match has been sold from the French team, never seen Henry give the ball in the goalkeeper's arms, never seen Zidane who scored two wonderful goals VS England, pass in that way. In 1986 France had beaten Greece 7-0. Anyway Greece in this match wins and becomes self confident.) 5 -- Czech Republic 0 - 1 Greece (As you can see always Greece scores one goal and than goes all the way in defence. They also have the courage to make a big foul to Pavel Nedved by leaving Czech Republic without a true leader. Like rabbits they go and score a goal at minute: 15:12 of the first part of the extra time. The referee was completely in the side of the Helenic territories. 6 -- Portugal 0 - 1 Greece (what to say even in the final greeks do the same strategy, score once and than massive deffence. Bad egg man.... All knockout tournaments (World Cup/ConCACAF/Africas Cup/European Championships....etc.) are based on the same basic principle....early league qualifiers....initial competition stage qualification and then the full-blown knockout stages. Greece had as much right to be there as Portugal (ahem, I'm English and will not mention Sol Campbell), so therefore, deserved to win as much as Portugal. Great tournament overall, with some amazing results to boot I say :bigsmile:
I don't understand football at this times. However my congrats to Greece and Greeks and to their passion. I would also like to remember to them the match between Albania and Greece, who knows, as all the weird things are happening maybe we beat you. HEH !!!
