Yeah... call me names and all... but I'll get this just for the skin. I like the looks. Also, have to check out the curve editor's new features. Thanks as always @Unwinder and guru3d
Thank you for all the effort @Unwinder , that's a neat skin indeed. Would love to see more colour variations for it!
There were some teasers in AB forum section, demonstrating new 4.6.1 features in action. I'll duplicate them here in case somebody missed it. So here it is: New "Touch of Modern" skin by Chris Drerex Drerup, simplified group operations for faster monitoring and OSD setup, async fan control on reference design RTX 20x0 series cards: Improved skin cross-compatibility layer, my tribute to Drerex: Improved voltage/frequency curve editor, new fragment selection features: Hope you'll find some of those new features useful
"Also, we started implementing dual-fan control for reference design NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20x0 series graphics cards." Will we see support for custom brand cards as well in the future? Im so annoyed to use gpu tweak 2 to control my Strix 2080 OC's fans.
Literally the second line in the changes log mate: Please take a note that only 100% NVIDIA reference design dual fan control implementations are supported, third-party proprietary asynchronous fan control solutions (e.g. EVGA iCX series asynchronous fans) are not supported and will not be supported in future versions.
MSI Afterburner's built-in skin engine, compiler and decompiler allow you to modify any built-in skin rather easy. You may decompile that skin and either manually change color scheme for desired images or apply new bitmap effects to it to let the compiler to alter colors automatically (e.g. by applying hue effect). To do it: - Decompile the skin using the following command line: MSIAfterburner.exe -ds MSIModern,te6Xfjz3 - Edit the skin header (this plain text file will be located in .\Skins\MSIModern\header) after successful skin decompilation. Add the following to the header: - Add new effect for altering colors for any image inside the skin. To do it add the following section to the header: [BitmapEffect.NewColor] Hue = 125 - Apply the effect to desired images in the skin, for example edit skin base image defininition inside [Bitmaps] section and replace BMP_BASE = SkinBase.png with BMP_BASE = SkinBase.png,NewColor - Do the same for all images you want to convert to different color scheme. - Compile modified skin using the following command line: MSIAfterburner.exe -cs MSIModern Done!
I've got a report that thermal priority button is rendered improperly with new skin on graphics cards supporting thermal prioritizing feature (ancient GTX 600 - 900 series cards): It will be fixed in the next version of skin.
Hello I have been used MSI Afterburner for years, but, untill now I don't know how to disable the "monitoring section" (below AB interface), definitely. When I click in the button "detach", the section is gone, but remais in the screen. The reason? Simple: I use Afterburner only to adjust the fan curve (I disable all monitoring tools). For clearance, I made a picture explaining: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AtTDzV1WqMBBjPphIAi9VAvTZVjc6g There is a way to disable this window? Thanks,
Hi Cruxys, I believe there is a way to do this as a work around but haven't tested it yet. Maybe Unwinder can add to this.
That depends on skin, some skins provide such design, for example this one: https://www.deviantart.com/n-e-p-o-s/art/MSI-Afterburner-Skin-Dark-Theme-Big-Edition-748506408 Or native XOC skin from the second teaser video, which I posted in this thread.
Hey, I couldn't find any info on this but is it possible to name the oc profiles? Like having the name show when you mouseover each button?
Hummmm, Nice... I will try this skin. Thanks! I love so much the native skin (and the new one, too). If this feature is possible in native interface, "it would be a dream coming true"...
