If they have found no issues with latest WHQL available for Windows 7, they don't release a hotfix. However, indeed, I haven't seen Windows 7 hotfix driver for quite some time now.

Nevertheless, Win 7 support is there.

Use reshade with a sharpening filter instead. On top of it you can tweak it within the actual app.

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but why do some of the packages contain the NGXCore folder and some do not?

The reason I ask is that I follow the driver cleaning guide on page 1 and it states that for RTX cards keep that and PPC folder?

    Any help appreciated:)

PPC is USB-C HDMI Driver (https://sites.google.com/view/virtuallink-consortium/)
NGXCore has ray tracing stuff core functionality.

Use those if you want to play RTX games, otherwise clean everything out hence the RTX and GTX driver versions.

Thanks for the reply, I have downloaded the RTX driver from the link on page 1 and it does NOT contain the NGXCore folder, that's why I was asking?

When I read your reply I re-downloaded the RTX driver from the google drive link and there is no NGXCore folder in the package?

Also, there was no NGXCore folder in the official download either?

    Any help appreciated.

Yes, this is the first driver where they have changed that structure. There is no information about it (at least from what I know).
As a guess, some elements of RTX are now integrated right into the driver itself due to recent RTX related changes.

What is more interesting to me, is that NGXCore is now present in Win 7 driver versions. So, for now, I keep it as is.
If someone has additional information on this, feel free to share.

its not, type c requires a port manager on top of the hub so that the any-way cabling works.

Afaik the PPC driver is the USB 3.1 support driver that is embedded onto the RTX cards, is it not?

I am tidying the 450.86 developer preview version and found an NVPCF folder containing a 'software device' (a service): NVIDIA Platform Controllers and Framework. I wonder if this is some laptop thingy (CPU vs. GPU power governing or something) and should be removed for desktops.

That was also included in some 417 packages.

I decided to delete that folder and the installation went fine without any extra cfg file edits.

Twice now ive download the 445.87 rtx version for desktop win10 and i keep getting version 441.66 installed, even though the downloaded file says 445.87 and the installer confirms 445.85, ive also used the latest version of ddu for a clean and boot.

Worked on 4th install....perhaps windows was intefering.
