I enjoyed Diablo 3. Wasn't expecting much, but like WOW it has high quality sound and story to keep you engaged.
Diablo II is back.. yeah.. holy f... crap. this is insane news for me since it's my most played game ever. gonna make the first morning coffee and see those videos from BlizzCon.
Just don't taint this with always on-line connection crap. Even that I like what they did with this ressurrection, I am baffled at Blizzard milking the hype out of an ancient game.
like always, remasters will not satisfy me. I have great memories from the original game, and remasters from starcraft and warcraft really left a sour taste in my mouth. Diablo 4 looked something i would like to play more, even though Path of exile is way cooler and free!
POE? Trash copy cash grab for me. I must teleport all the time to sell due to tiny inventory filling up all the time. They should really do something about it.
This will sell extremely well. Still waiting to see if it's a fail like WC3 Reforged, but if it delivers, I'm in.
Let's see what Blizzard sees fit to ask for a price for this ressurrection. Somehow I know it won't be cheap.
Blizzard always add a ton of content for at least a year with their games, so it shouldn't be too bad in the long run.
so far im very happy with the execution of the game-play. it looks smooth and clean, nothing that burn your eyes with lightning effects, and the inventory seems like a copy paste version of the original game with modern movement and quality of life changes, like the shared stash and auto old pick up etc. i am still curious about pvp, so far i didn't see videos of it. i would like to see some high level dueling.. besides hunting for perfect\rare items D2 had a strong pvp system with plenty of fun and hours to throw on it. *edit - i am not sure if it's gonna be a player-8 game.. something tells me it's gonna be 4-6, but lets see.
Looks like remake on Diablo 3 engine, definitely not a "new" generation. And honestly, I'm so fed up with these remakes being released everywhere. WTF is happening to gaming industry? Is this how the new generation of younger devs wanna do games now? Are they unable to come up with something new anymore?
remakes anf remasters and reboots are cheaper then new ips or developing a new lore. why this is a thing in many industries, thinking is hard and work is harder.
that's very much depends on the game you are re-imagining and also depends on the execution. in this case you are talking about a game that is considered even today as one of the best online games ever created by many people who are in their 30's\40's. mathematically Diablo II is a genius game. the base game was developed by insanely talented people in it's day. so in terms of the core game, i think it's still amazing and addictive even 20 years after release. the thing is.. it's very very old on it's movement\game-play to the point of unplayable at some point. so Diablo II with a modern touch ? take my money. as a veteran of Diablo I \ II - so far those videos are way beyond my expectations, so you'r probably not a D2 hardcore player if you can't see it not saying it in a bad way. btw if it interest you, watch all the important Q&A's - they never went for a full remake, or a "new generation" remaster. most of the things are just refined and modernize, not changed. it doesn't look like Diablo III at all in my eyes.
